Is she a scientist, an artist, or a member of CSI? In a fascinating talk Eunjin Kim questions the role and skills of the art conservator. She will make you aware of the new problems of the art world, such as how you can conserve artwork that is meant to disappear. Eunjin Kim works at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Korea, saving the country's most precious artworks for the future. She now wonders about the future of her trade and what new skills future art conservators will need to save artworks from generation to generation.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
