@@jackdavid4721 if you take Bangladesh's inflation rate into account the interest becomes even cheaper. This guy doesn't even have a real timeline for repayment so its a pretty good deal. I do know there's a lot of propaganda spread about him by political parties for their own self-interests but I pay them no heed. I myself have seen people benefit from Grameen.

I'm pretty sure there will be one teacher at his school that teaches multiple villages and all subjects. Probably most people don't go beyond primary school. The focus is on language, perhaps reading, and basic maths. Most kids will start working in the family business at age 11. +Muhammed Hussain It's higher than conventional banks loan rate to a person with a credit history.. but it's much lower than the effective date u pay a money lender when u don't have any collateral or any credit history to prove.. hence theoretically the probability of a loss when lending to such an individual is very high.. So the loans are cheaper as compared to the loan rate you would need to pay with such high theoretical default probability
