What a day brightener for a hopeful new year. You are so generous to share - with tips and encouragement - your amazing ideas. So inspired. Can you show us how you use drywall tape to hinge the left-sided papers? Thanks again. Off to create with reckless abandon!

Thank you. I fold the drywall tape in half and use Modpodge to adhere the cut piece to the opposite side of the page. Put the fold on the edge of the cut piece and adhere it. When it dries, adhere the other side. Hope that helps. Yes...go make art with reckless abandon! Art soothes the heart! I love sharing my ideas and techniques and have a starving artist tip jar or buymeacoffee link. It keeps me going! LOL

Two pages that meet in the middle is called a spread. The middle fold is called the ditch. Love those sunflowers! Your book kind of reminds me of Valerie Sjodin's gratitude book. She's a RU-vidr also. Yes, it hurts to fall. I've broken so many body parts falling. smile! So I identify with your humpty dumpty!

Update: I checked out her journal and it is lovely! Reminds me of the Teesha Moore fold out pages. Everyone has such unique styles! I love that we inspire each other to create. 🌸🙏🏻

@@TwistedArtdesigns Ok, so Facebook.... I'm a Nanny and two of the kiddos I babysit talked me into opening an acct. I have NEVER used it. In two years, never done anything on it. When quarantine started, I kept thinking I should at least LOOK at it 😁 And here I am, still haven't done it... I recently got two free classes from Willowing and was invited to join them on Facebook. I'm thinking this weekend might be a good time to sit down and figure it out! 😊 Cuz I just love everything you do! And I know this comment section isn't meant for long letters! Ha I'll look into it. Lindsey Warren Willowing is wonderful! I have learned a lot from Tamara Laporte!and that fb group is wonderful! Have the kiddos help you go into your settings where you only see posts from friends or groups you join. Otherwise you get lots or people soliciting you. Then join willowing page and twistedartdesigns! I will go and friend you now. You will love it once you start... great arting groups! Lots of inspiration everywhere! @Twisted Artdesigns Well, that too. I was thinking of the page protector that you use for reusing the paint for your boarders. On the flexible cutting boards, there is a smooth side and a texured side.

I was attempting to use your idea of pulling the paint off of a plastic mat but my double stick tape is not pulling it off. I tried a small piece packing tape just to see if that would pull it off & that didn’t work either. Help! Don’t know what I am doing wrong! I believe the paint on my mat is Dylusions if that helps!

Is your mat smooth or is it frosted? My plastic piece has sprays, inks, different brands of acrylic paints. I use it between pages to protect from whatever medium I am using. It works best if the mat is a smooth surface. Or use a piece of tempered glass as your barrier and then do the tape over the dried products on the glass. That works super well! The glass needs to be smooth, not frosted. Hope that helps. Keep playing around with it and try different things.

@@TwistedArtdesigns it’s smooth-it is the packaging from my 12x12 gel plate but it only has paint on it.

@@susanzacher6937 do you have other acrylic paints besides dylusions? If so, try them and and see. Weird. Smooth plastic the paint should not have a problem releasing from.
