As someone with crazy ADHD/executive dysfunction I need to try this! My brain doesn’t just procrastinate on things that are chores, but things that are fun and enjoyable too. If I had practiced for as many hours as I’ve said “I should get back to xyz” I’d be a master artist/musician/programmer and so on

Art is fun. I get to do it everyday if I would just let go. Of all the real chores I have. And thoughts of being older now in my life and worrying about death and dying. No I’m not and neither is my partner. But I think about it all the time and our beloved pet Bentley the Maltese dog. We lost our second dog last year and my mind can’t seem to forget about him or aleast give my mind A break. So it seems this difficult grief over him has lasted and the fear of it all keeps me from doing what I love. My art. When I feel all is going well with the 3 of us I can do my art no problem but when there is the slightly worry about something like our finances a health issue etc I can’t allow myself to let go and just do art. Any suggestions???

Art isn't confined to just making paintings and such, you can write about the situations you're in, it could help you to get it out of your system and think about how to deal with them little bit more when they're written/typed down, poetry is also an option if you're into that🤷🏼. You could also communicate with your SO or close friends/family if writing doesn't help as well, it could help you to articulate your thoughts and goals better so as to help clear your head and get the fog out😁. My last suggestion, (and I know that you might not be the same religion and such, but I still feel like it's necessary so if you don't then you don't have to😅), Is tell God how you're feeling and pray about the situations you're in/will be in, THAT, is my highest suggestion. Because then if you give it to God then you won't have to carry it by yourself and the burden will get lighter💁🏼. But anyway I hope your life gets better, God bless😁

I have a deadline for some of my art: Putting paintings/drawings on the front of my rent check envelope for the 1st of every month. It nudges me into trying new scenes every month.😊
