Art Studio Tour! // Bedroom Studio Makeover & Tidy 

Seeing someone keeping their home clean and tidy fills me with happiness.

It's so refreshing to see a person who doesn't splurge money when making a room makeover video.

My mom just moved and gave me my late step dad's enormous ancient drafting table. I only picked up a serious passion for art a little over a year ago. I'm 47! I had a spare bedroom that I hadn't used for anything and decided to put together a studio. I was also using my bedroom for my art, but due to my chronic medical disability I was doing everything in bed. My room was growing smaller and smaller as more art supplies moved in, and I had absolutely nowhere to put anything aside from one small bookshelf. It took some rearranging, but the studio is AMAZING! I was so worried it would be all for nothing because my bed is my happy place and I am constantly totally exhausted and due to my illness I have narcolepsy, so I fall asleep everywhere, some places or things are more triggering. My phone, which I use for absolutely everything, is a huge trigger. I was totally wrong. I am in my studio any time I'm awake and not busy doing house and dog chores or my IVs and stuff. I absolutely love the huge drafting table. I literally have to climb up to even reach the back of it. I was so worried it would be way too huge, but it's just perfect, and even if I was 20 years old, I think I would keep it for a studio forever. I still have to decorate and organize stuff. Unfortunately I have no income so I have to use what I have and two solid wood antique dressers and a little table with 3 drawers are what I have to contend with, which makes it dark and heavy feeling. Maybe one day I'll feel better and will throw some paint on all that dark wood so it's more light and breezy. I do have a china cabinet that has glass doors on top and a cabinet below (with Grandma's china in it) and the s bookshelf, which is absolutely perfect and much needed. My mom surprised me with a REALLY cool bookshelf type thing that has glass doors that open from the bottom and slide into a track above its intended shelf. It reminds me of the kind of shelf in a scientist's workspace that has jars of fermented biological oddities in it. It's so perfect for really anything I can think of 🤔. If only the former owner of my place hadn't used the literal UGLIEST paint colors on not only the walls but the ceilings and inside the closets and so on. I definitely don't have the energy to take on the task of painting three bedrooms, a bathroom, and a massive basement. OH BOY AM I PROCRASTINATING! How does this happen? I need to keep drawing. I wind up sucked into everyone else's art on RU-vid and Instagram and before I know it, I'm worthless to get anything done but I have typed my entire life story (or maybe the story about my new studio that didn't need to be nearly so long), so if you're still reading this, that's awesome and thank you. My eyelids are heavy, but my sketchbook is right in front of mewaiting for me, taunting me....

I love those IKEA peg boards. When I move house I'm definitely going to get one for my work space. I currently have a bedroom/studio too, but I'm lucky to have a big bedroom so it doesn't feel too oppressive. 😊 Kalanchoe don't like too much water. I water mine with added succulent feed every 2 weeks from March - September and monthly with plain water during the winter. 😊

I love these tours, it always makes me happy when its all clean and tidy. Even if it only stays tidy for 1 day. Your rubberplant gets brownish leaves if you water it too much or too little, they will fall off eventually. Just keep giving it the same amount of water as you always do and it should be fine. It eventually will get small red leaves which is a cover for new leaves. My workspace is in the middle of my living room and is basicly a long desk with storage on top and some drawers.

I watched this the day it came out but I was folding laundry so I didn’t comment. However, youtube suggested it again so I’m back to tell you I love 🥰 how you’re working with your space and you inspired me to clean up my studio as well. Its also in my room, but I have a folding screen between the work area and my bed area so It feels a little separate.

I remember watching one of your first studio tours way back when! the evolution of your channel is so inspiring and you're one of those art channels that I've watched for so long and feels so nostalgic and safe 💕 I love these cozy workroom tidy videos and tours, it's helpful to see how other artists handle organizing all the things lol and it's a nice hangout kind of video to also clean or draw to ☺❤

Hi I get really bad motion sickness when playing computer games, it truly sucks and I've no cure but I find ginger sweets or chews help a bit, barley sugar sweets can also help, suck them whilst playing a bit like if you get car sick, hope these may offer you dome relief, I love your art and set up thank you so much for sharing your awesomeness with us. I really love how you've organized your space! there are few things more satisfying to see a small space being properly used and organized so it can fit A LOT and still look spacious so you can thrive in it! the absolute glow up! thank you for showing a bit of your little shrimp tank and the plants

what a cute space! I love those little containers you have for your stickers. They are perfect.

my cable management was lookin' kinda gross, luckily my desk has a built in area to hide the cables from sight. i think having something like a cable management box to hide em away helps a little : )

Oooooh, nothing quite as satisfying as freshly organized art supplies! by the way, I have the same pegboard and you can just go on Ikea's website and have more clips and pegs shipped to you! My friends and I didn't know they didn't stock those in the warehouse & forgot to buy any accessories whatsoever when we ran to grab it because the store was about to close lol. I use one for art supplies by my desk and another for my hats and masks! :)

Your ficus tree looks fine and it looks like it is getting enough sunlight it's normal for them to loose a leaf or two during this time. The spider plant looks like it's in to big of a pot and holding to much moisture, try going 2 pot sizes down. Planterina a is a good RU-vid channel to learn how to care for indoor plants.
