What I am really want to know is how Tahlia even comes up with those ideas!? To come up with an idea and then paint it onto a canvas. That's insane. Those paint brushes really are an extension of her arm.

Wonderful from beginning to end. So happy to have shared all these moments with you! Owls are a lovely sign for me because they remind me of the Sarah books. 💖 Rest up for a little bit after all that! You earned it! I once worked on a canvases with a friend when we had a two person show and the funniest thing happened. He had painted a still life on it with the same lighting, number and position of apples and even the direction of the stems as one I was working on and he didn’t see. We called it the psychic apple painting. Flow is a wonderful thing because then you are channeling something greater than yourself or that’s how it feels to me. But keep the joy alive and avoid burnout so inspiration keeps flowing! No more sleeping under my easel any more for me. Self care is very important for painters. For everyone! Especially for ones who are moms. 💖💖💖

I genuinely needed your energy, motivation, and confidence in my life. It’s been a journey balancing art & content creation. I’ve had this negative mindset and crippling fear of recording myself but I too love cinema more than words- film & photography are as huge of a passion for me as painting and to hear the way you expressed the way you view creating “content” as a glimpse into the perspectives of others, has truly helped inspire me to really dive into changing my mindset around social media. I felt that… starting at the break of dawn and working to the early hours of the morning trying to finish a piece when your body is stiff and your eyes balls are hanging out only to have to do it all over again the next day! Ah the artist/business life..

Hearing you say it usually takes you 4 months on average on one piece has made me feel so much better about how long I take

"Done is better than perfect" Love that. I have a lot of unfinished writing projects (and a few unfinished paintings, but mostly the writing). I need to get "Done is better than perfect" tattooed on my forehead (mirrored at least, so I see it correctly when I look in the mirror)

Hi Tahlia, could you please do a video on your process of doing these paintings? I am an amateur painter myself, mainly of dachshunds, quite expressive in shape. I am from the Netherlands and admire your way of painting. Very happy to explain step by step; I can't tell the difference when you use acrylic or oil paint and what your mediums are. You understand what I mean. Sjappoo for your works of art. Hope you explain step by step so i can integrate it into my dachshund art which i sell in a shop in the Netherlands. Kind regards.
