Damn, this was one of the best mods I've ever played. I loved the custom assets in the campaign. Unfortunately our Warcraft 3 reversed journey ends here. Path of the Damned (Undead) Reversed is still in development.
i do feel like these need to be more uncanonical to the story though like in this malganis should have won here just imo. and hopefully the next lot is not as blatantly hard as this 1 was, i'm a decent player but even on easy some of these missions were unbalanced in the enemy favor
@@tibo2534Playing as guards stopping Arthas at the first chapter, playing as Uther and his paladins to repel Arthas' evil forces, playing as Sylvanas and the high elves to prevent Kel'Thuzad's revival, etc. Man good stuffs detected, can't wait to see more.
Took me a while to understand wtf he said when he said "succeeding". But succeeding reffers to succession, meaning taking the throne from the earlier king or whatever. And yes, I felt really stupid when I realized that.
Arthas, the tactics master, fails to claim Frostmourne, so Lich king rewinds time to let him get the sword, ONLY FOR ARTHAS TO DIE TO MAL'GANIS Lich King be like "ALRIGHT THAT"S ENOUGH" *revives Arthas and finally kills Mal'Ganis* "FINALLY I WIN AFTER AGES OF HUMILIATION"
Even the campaign being in reverse does not stop Arthas's destiny to become Lich King lol In purge of Strathholme, Mal'ganis had a chance there. Not here tho
Fun fact: Arthas in fact was not undead in Warcraft 3. His soul was simply stolen by Frostmourne but without killing him. But in this mission it seems Arthas indeed became undead.
Arthas is implied to have froze to death while wandering the Northrend wilderness and listening to the voice of Ner'zhul Hence why his skin as DK is so pale
if i remember correctly Death knight arthas has always been dead but the lich king necromantic powers are so elite arthas remains like his death time was frozen in time
@@rubz1390 Warcraft 3 and Frozen Throne still had Northrend inhabited by living creatures and societies. The Nerubians were powerful Necromancers and Arcanists. The Lich King had not yet established his hold nor his power (the Scourge was just the cult at this point). In all likelyhood (read: complete fanfiction) the Guardian was likely just a sentient undead unaffiliated with the Lich King or a strong willed undead that broke free of the Lich King's control after having been turned during the LK's conquest of Northrend. In either case he would be aware of the dangers of the sword and seek to prevent the prince from falling under its control. Consider him a free agent.
@@rubz1390 The Lich King ofc. His job is to prevent unwanted visitors to the sword and give the illusion that claiming the sword isn't what the enemy actually wants.
Mal'ganis: "Your champion has fallen, Lich King. *You* will be next." Lich King: "I draw Monster Reborn." Mal'ganis: "Monster what-GH!" _(gets a sword to the gut)_
@@ExecutorNral Pros: Pre-Wow Sylvanas will finally earn her rank as Ranger-General Cons: Arthas will be humiliated by Sylvanas for 3 missions in a row.
I like the premise of this reverse campaign so far tbh, it feels more cohesive how "Sometimes individual events may alter, but not the overarching story" We try to reverse the story, let the enemies win, even making our own uptakes on this with SC1 reversed, but this? You try to make Arthas disappear, or at least try to hinder what his descent of madness can do in the long run, but... Interestingly enough, we just became a catalyst more than anything.
Would love to see a proper what if after Arthas and Uther ended up as sacrifices for Blackrock Orcs or when Arthas and Jaina were slain by Kel'Thuzad's undead forces.
Tichondrius: I dont get it Nerzhul, Arthas is so incopetent, he fucks everything up, everything he touches turn to shit, why did you pick him as a champion?! Nerzhul: Cuz its funny to watch. Tichondrius: LMAO
Mal'ganis: Oh, Arthas, can't you go five seconds without humiliating yourself? (Arthas' belt spontaneously fails and his pants drop around his ankles) Arthas: ... ... How long was that?
I like to imagine the Undead had no idea what they were doing the whole time, since Mal'ganis randomly murdered the acolyte that was supposed to relay his orders.
I just noticed. What's the point of Malganis given even a speech to his undead minions. The only things that are remotely able to get a moral boost are the necromancers or warriors who are still part of human..
From the guardian revenanant heroically defending Azeroth from Lich King's wrath, to the frost dragon mistaking undeads as "mortals", and finally to the epic and satisfying final showdown between the the vengeful paladin versus the cunning dreadlord... At last, after countless L's Arthas finally took his well-deserved W. Also, I can't help but to appreciate the duel against Arthas here. Ner'Zhul begins to take control of Mal'Ganis' undead forces, encasing Arthas inside an icy barrier to protect him, summoning frost tornadoes then when Mal'Ganis defeated him, he taunt Arthas as if he's just an insect that does nothing but to waste his time as the camera zooms to both of their direction. Only for Ner'Zhul to pumped some more of his Frostmourne so that Arthas can surely deliver Mal'Ganis to his demise. Arthas won in the end, but the music is ominous and moments of triumphant are nowhere to be found. Indicating that something even more sinister is about to show itself at any given time.
These A.I. voice lines are actually amazing, some of them like the necromancer talking about how you need dragon bones sounds like a hidden SFX mined from the games files
Executor, the Frostmorune has been weakened, but I fear we have sustained severe damage ourselves. I will steer myself into a collision course with the Frostmorune. If I can channel enough of my energies through my hull, I should be able to bring swift death to the accursed ice sword. Remember us, executor, remember what was done here today. May the Burning Legion watch over you. Here comes the Mal'ganis! Nope! What? You have my friend, Human. Now let us steer our way into the collision course of the Frostmorune. "Even when the campaign is reversed, the poor Mal'ganis can't catch a break." Said by someone.
That wasn't in the original campaign I think. I added the music with video editing, it's Blizzard's remake Heartstone March of the Lich King Trailekr Music
okay, first Mal'ganis starts monologue with acolyte, telling him his great plan and kills him ... what? and then he makes speech to the undead army, which is mostly just walking flesh and bones ... it looks very wasteful to do that .... I know that he's having his time, but still, it looks like good old Mal is already braindead
Imo it's because one of acolyte's line is "Where shall my blood be spilled?" Also, I think there's no greater honor for the acolytes to be killed by their dark master and then revived as undeads.
Meanwhile, on StarCraft Reign of the Void Reversed… Either Zasz's brood defeats Kerrigan and Montag before they reach the Essence of Eternity. Or they defeat Infested Kerrigan regardless, either way thwarting the Overmind's secret plot against the Cerebrates once and for all. Third Option: Mira Han takes matters personally and her mercenaries deal with BOTH Kerrigan's company for betraying her AND Zasz's brood when they refuse to hire her.
What the i thought arthas failed to defeat malganis and then he got revived by lich king i think malganis still forgot to get rid of the frostmourne so yup here go again but this time arthas didn't do the same old fashioned stab to malganis instead he throws at him lol and go in blizzard and disappear again becomes a champion of throwing frostmourne lol
Wow I didn't know there was a campaign about this, I always playing that game but I don't have that kind of campaign mission, and also what's the title of the music at 15:40
I need a WC 3 level of campaign in Warhammer Fantasy(=super story rich campaign). Just imagine ... oh boy! That would be so good. Don't get me wrong, Total Warhammer is phenomenal(well, 2 is at any rate), but that's just not it. Such a fantastic mod! Equally as much as the campaign it is based on.
MslGanis got too boring and just waste his troop for nothing at the start lol😂. Beautiful customized UI and troop models, especially the blue doom-dragon. How did you do it? Can you give us instruction?
I'm not the one who made the campaign so I don't know how to use custom UI. But custom models are easy to do. He probably got those from hiveworkshop. Simply import the mdx files to your map and replace the model of your unit/hero from Data editor.
