I gotta agree mostly on this one Arthurs story is imo better written but rudeus is more relatable as none of us were kings with enough power and hatred to kill millions without breaking a sweat And in terms of power.... ima just say aether
@@helplies7184 Nah, he's actually acts like a person instead of some edgelord. He spends a lot of time around a woman he likes and finds attractive and develops feelings for her.
With his demonic magic eye Rudeus can predict what the opponent might do even know when Arthur cuts his magic and with the Hydra stone in theory Rudeus can take the effect of the sword since it cancels magic.
@@Lipe326 by magic you mean mana right? You see Arthur does not use mana and as its was stated in LN he van cut throu mana with ease and even if he van predict what is about to happen will he react.
@@kinggrey2623 Well magic is a product of mana but it cancels magic also it canceled any type of magic attack or even barriers once Rudeus got stuck in a king level barrier and only with the stone he undid the magic and if it doesn't work out very well Rudeus has the Ram ma that undoes the magic when it is being done it's like when the opponent is preparing the spell Rudeus can interrupt it making the spell formless and preventing the user from attacking.

I think a better question debate would have been WC Arthur vs WN Old Rudeus. I actually think this could be a close match, with a slight lead to Arthur
Honestly speaking , when I first read beginning after end manhwa at the start it basically looked like cheep copy of mushoku tensei. But they later created different storyline and developed a super cool dude with godlike powers Superpowers aside, beginning after end manhwa's storyline doesn't hold a candle against mushoku tensei.
Yeah i also think the same when i first read it like, is this the copy of mushoku tensei but when i read it further it completely different, and i like art when he was an adventure he got cool mask and his nickname Zero is also cool(i forgot his nickname is zero or whatever)
You should've read the novel first, just saying. If you haven't already you should read it now. The comic (it's not actually a manhwa) does the story and worldbuilding a little dirty. Also it's like 5/6s done with the story, whereas the comic is only around 1/5 done with the story, so it's way further ahead.
Tbate doesnt really get a good reputation because of the slow updates and the early season with barely any development. But if you read the novel, shit gets dark real quick. Character developments go brr with Arthur getting his ass handed to him over and over and even now with the latest chapters, hes still nowhere near the strongest. Like if you think the Retainers and Scythes mentioned in the Manhwa are strong, then you're mistaken, because they are actually really weak compared to the characters introduced later. Volume 9 and 10 of the novel is peak for Tbate. Slow writing really hinders it though. If TurtleMe(its author) could just release like 3-4 chapters per week, then the Novel might very well get a good chance at getting an anime adaptation because the story is pretty good. Its has extensive lore that could be expanded on. But the updates are slow and the Manhwa is on hiatus till next year. Then theres the lack of detail. The lore is there, its deep, but not Mushoku Tensei deep. But it can easily be expanded upon like what he did in the recent chapters. Its deep, but not fixed, like he has freedome to add more characters and depth to the story but because of slow updates, theres not much in-depth details.
I sometimes think how the story would've been different if Rudeus was able to:- (1) Activate & Use Touki (2) Demon-God's Tracker Eyes (3) Chantless incantation for all 4 Healing-class
@@colasevenseas5652 It's No use for Rudeus to continue his Swordsmanhip as he lacks a Touki. If he had Touki then I think Rudeus would've become skilled to this level:- (1) Emperor-Rank in North-God Style (2) King-Rank in Water-God style (3) Saint-Rank in Sword-God style
If this is 1v1 death battle then yeah Rudeus would get neg diff. But if they get prep time + open world then things could get ugly since Rudeus real power is in manipulating things behind shadows and assembling strong allies. Don't be mistaken, Arthur still wins, but it'll a very high-diff, that could go on for years.
@@vogel2499 Arthur has rule over all of Dicathen, and if he wanted to he could probably get many asura to join his cause. Plus with the Alacryan revolution he could almost definitely get a bunch of Alacyra, including Seris to help him. Remember, Arthur was a King in his last life and a general (but still ruling the whole continent) in his new life. He's very charismatic and knows politics well. I'd say he'd even be better than Rudeus. It's no diff.
If Rudeus does have prep time Arthur will activate Realm heart and see where all the traps are and avoid them or he could just teleport or use Destruction from a distance or just send Regis@@vogel2499
@@Oneofdem513 And even if arthur didn't have god step, Rudeus would still just say that arthur won and be done with it. Rudeus doesn't view himself as someone who is strong and he is not a battle junkie. The moment he sees that arthur is stronger than him and finds out that winning against him would only reward him with bragging rights, then he'll just back out of the fight as it would just be a waste of time.
Low diff, Arthur just god step (teleport in range) and one him, it's been constantly shown in MT that Rudeus strugles angainst swordmen when they're at close range, and Arthur is just much stronger than them. And it doesn't even that into account his many other broken abilities.
Adults will agree, by the way TBATE fans and COTE fans have the same fans I guess( I have a friend who likes the same thing 💀), both are edgylord and master everything 🤣
Well I don't know about MT, but in TBATE the strongest "entity" is fate. Though whether it's some sort of god or just a law of reality is ambiguous. If Fate isn't an entity, then Agrona and Kezeez would probably be tied for most powerful.
@@eterna1379Agrona is not a strong fighter. He's not a warrior. He's not the second strongest to Kezeez. Put him toe to toe with another Asuran race leader and he will most likely lose to half of them. He's strong due to his brains. He's a scientist at heart, he has unorthodox techniques that can rival the strength of the Asuran physique. From what we've seen and read, the Vritra race isn't all too powerful when it comes to fighting. Put Agrona against the race leader of the Titans, Leviathans and Pantheons and he loses as those are races primarily focusing on their Physique and combat prowess.
Yeah, Arthur had a huge head start in gearing up for this kind of fight because the closest thing to his first life was a spec-ops colonel when he died in i think his early 40s, while Rudius was a fat shut-in that died at 35. Plus, they're about equil at long range, and hand-to-hand, Arthur would be quite the challenge for even Gisslaine. I think a better matchup would be Arthur Leywin (the red head here) against Sung Jinwoo from Solo Leveling.
Depend on which Jinwoo ur talking if its Beginner Jinwoo Arthur wins but if its current Jinwoo Arthur loses badly in terms of potential we've seen Jinwoo get as strong as he can but Arthur is still getting stronger and seeing as Aether is superior to Mana i think Arthurs gets this
Even a Silver-Core Arthur will be able to kill Rudeus with a Magic-Armour MK-2. Arthur can just activate Static-Void to kill Rudeus & be done with it. I think if Arthur was born in Mushoku Tensei then he would've been better than Rudeus at a far greater level. Even if there was a deficiency of not being able to activate Touki, Arthur would've had mastered chantless incantations for all 4-attack & Healing-class magic.
@@gabrielgomesguimaraes1010 If King-Grey was reincarnated in the body of Rudeus-Greyrat then he would've been able to Master chantless incantation for all 4-attack, Heal & Detox magic. I think Rudeus (Grey) would've been able to Master all the Sword Styles upto "Intermediate-Rank" by the age of 7-years. Grey as Rudeus will master different Magical-spells far quickly than Rudeus & it's possible that he may be able to increase his MP reserves far greater than Original Rudeus & Laplace. Grey has far more scientific Knowlegdge than the Original Rudeus who was a School-drop out & NEET so it's possible that Rudeus (Grey) will master far more complex Magic than Original Rudeus was able to do in the same time. If King-Grey gets reincarnated as Rudeus Greyrat then he'll use the Knowledge of his Swordsmanhip & Hand-to-Hand combat to boost his ability to respond to Attacks in ways that Rudeus was never able to do so. With Magic-Armour, Grey will be a far greater threat to other God-Rank Swordsman then Rudeus can ever be. I think Rudeus (Grey) with Magic Armour-Mk2 & Eye-of-Foresight will be able to defeat God-Rank Swordsman.
@@sk8899 I don't see how he could expand his reserves more than Rudeus? as Rudeus almost dried them everyday since the age of 2? and knowing that after childhood your reserves stay the same
@@DolaPerugius It's about efficieny & finesse. Arthur can just strike at appropriate time to defeat Rudeus. Rudeus's Mana-reserves are immense but Arthur has the finesse & skills to get him in a CQB fight.
no silver core will loose and about static void it uses aether the aspect of time but in MT time and space comes under magic only since there is no aether
The problem they never surpasses, if they did an anime adaptation it would be ridiculed for the bad start of the story because just how can the TBATE MC be stronger like the average isekai, as you said it copied MT in the early stages and made it cheap. Ah yes and TBATE will never get a chance

I never read tbate, but many mention it as the same storyline as moshoku tensei. So is Arthur a realistic character too like Rudy? Where a loser like me can relate too? 😅
Absolutely not to both points. You can relate to arthur, but not because you're a loser lol. Tbate really only has a similar story to MT up to like 10% of the way in at most.
Thing that irked me is sometimes Arthur doesn't know his place, he even dared to openly taunt the king eventhough he knew his family could be in danger. But yeah, that's still the early part of the story and it's kinda fit his profile as a king in previous life.
Arthur is basically your typical perfect op mc protagonist like rimuru he got beaten by strong enemy yes but he's still op. Well, self insert reader loves it more than the story. They just want to feel good reading it. Lolz
@mheljohngargar3964 can't even cap, lowkey true. But my one of my favorite parts of tbate is start of volume 8, where he's severely nerfed temporarily. It's fucking raw. Seeing him go from absolute menace in the end of volume 7 to being in such a weak hopeless state, where he wants to just give up, only to gain hope through aether and get his second wind, absolutely amazing. I've listened to the audiobook of that like 20 times. I also liked arthur vs jagrette, very even fight tbh.
Arthur shit him with a single ability to networks literally with his fire destruction or the step of God redous is already dead, still he is not a bad character but he has no chance against the chosen one xd
tf are you talking about? Arthur is an asura capable of manipulating the fabric of reality mostly to his will, he has a strong grasp of all three types of magic (ki, mana & aether), he was a king in his past life, and a general in his new one. I like MT more, but let's be real, Arthur is just built different. Highschool freshman Art could already give prime Rudeus the run for its money, and prime Art will probably fold Orsted like its nothing special.
The cap part : durability, IQ, BIQ, speed, the winner. Why? 👇🏼 Durability : rudeus Managed to take Orsted's non-bladed attacks which is Devine lvl attacks or multi continental lvl attack IQ : rudeus create time manipulation magic or time travel magic by himself. BIQ : orsted is Mastering virtually every combat technique in the world and rudeus at least be able to keep up and harm orsted in fight Speed : he can keep up with orsted Wich can casually travel at the speed of light Winner : Depends on what armor rudeus is using if MK.0 rudeus will win high diff but if he doesn't use that ashura mode Arthur will win high diff
Ur right and u make a point that it really depends on what mk rudeus uses but imo Arthur in the novel can outlast rudeus with his djinn armor and regenerative capabilities tho Rudeus’ original mk armor is more durable which is why i gave him defense. For IQ part, its debatable as Arthur has many feats which shows his massive intellect and its a little unfair to use time manipulation for IQ as it was used by Future Rudeus. For speed, Arthur can also theoretically move at the speed of light since his burst step and god step are more like teleporting instead of actually dashing/running. The fight could still go either way tho
@@snsahig4455 about regenerative it's not like he can instantaneously regenerates it when his whole body get direct hit from rudeus Devine lvl attack, also did Arthur resist ice magic at molecular lvl?. about old rudeus IQ and current rudeus IQ it doesn't matter cuz its still the same brain rudeus if he learned he still can create that time travel magic. And lastly "god step" it's not speed it's an ability but Arthur have good speed at least high hypersonic cuz he can move at Mach 20 during his fight with Cylrit (if u can tell me Wich chapter he can go SOL)
@@rikun_ I’m talking about Endurance and not Durability. I already said that in terms of Durability, Rudeus takes it which is why i gave him Defense. But if it’s Endurance, Arthur can definitely endure longer than anyone because of his asuran body. I also don’t see why you can’t count God step when he uses it for mobility? If you’re talking about combat speed, Rudeus is not SoL. Isn’t that why he was fighting from a distance against the Water God and Orsted? (unless I’m forgetting something) Arthur in terms of Combat Speed isn’t SoL either, but like you said he was already comparable to mach 20 against cylrit and i’m willing to bet he’s even faster now in the current chapters. For the time magic, even Future Rudeus took a while to learn that and Arthur has feats that are already close to that (Deciphering the djinn’s relics that not even the vritra could do, learning control over aether that not even the dragons could do)
@@snsahig4455 i said ability doesn't count as a speed (travel, combat n reaction) but u can count as mobility. Yes rudeus is not really reached SOL and I never said he is, cuz he using his magic eye to see only 2 second a head BUT his body still react to orsted light speed attacks Wich mean he at least relativistic+ up too SOL, why? Cuz Orsted is so skilled and experienced in combat that he could take at least five different courses of actions in one second of prediction, making Rudeus completely unable to counter him even with the foresight eye. he is a mage of course he will start and keep at least fighting from a distance it doesn't mean he can't fight in close combat example: Rudeus fight and win against "North God Aleksander Ryback(Kalman III)" in a close combat too, he used his BIQ to win against Kalman III bro😂. About IQ it's still prove current rudeus has capabilities to create time magic if he learned it doesn't matter how hard or much time he needs it's still has the same brain capabilities and what type of IQ feats Arthur do? That make the same lvl at create time travel magic?. About speed u need to show me did Arthur speed 📈 or not from last fight he did with Cylrit and what speed is that
@@rikun_ jajajajaja, You know that Arthur was a king in the previous life right?, and that he learned to use the sword + in the new life at school and in ephetous, Arthur/Grey is 100 times better melee combatant, Speed of light?
