I remember when this happend. Was really huge news here in Sweden. Unfortantly Arthur the real dog got a tumor, and died right before the filming started. But.. he lived a really good life. He lived with a family up in the northen part of Sweden. Lots of safe places to play at, never was hungry, hiked with his new owner. He really lived.
I kinda hope they dont win the race in the movie, because of the shortcut it seems Arthur gives them. They more or less abandoned the race because of Arthur. Which they never had second thoughts about
Brought tears to my eyes. I found my best animal companion in Georgia (the country) where they treat street dogs like rubbish. She's a beautiful Husky and seeing her so skinny to the point of death, it broke my heart. I took her in and she became the best dog I could ever ask for. Super smart, super friendly and as loyal as they come.

THIS upgraded your expectations of what a movie CAN BE?! Must've not seen a lot of great movies then... Pretty classical stray-dog-becoming-heartfelt-pet story by the looks of it.
Goddamn it! I’m a 54 year old Aussie construction worker and Any movie with a dog in it always brings me to tears lol. Thanks Mark for bringing us a movie to make us feel good! Just nobody make eye contact with me when I watch it! 😂
I've never heard of this story...until now. This is the type of uplifting story of family, love, friendship, grit, determination, courage and faith not only in each other but in a lost dog that chooses them as his "family." Oh, yeah, I am so in.
I recommend the audio book. If you don't have an audible account already you can get it for free if you make an account. Though if you don't plan on using it make sure to cancel it. Though imo if you're a book person it's worth it. There are tons and tons of free audiobooks. But as much as I don't approve of it, there are plenty of other ways to get free books as well. Even here on YT you'll find most audiobooks. But imo if you want good books to keep coming out it's best to pay for them.
Mark is on a roll with his movie choices the last few years. One of my favorite actors. I’ve been saying it would be cool for him to do a good series sometime. At least a 2 season show.
I read about this incredible dog in an article a long time ago, so glad they made a movie on him and looks like it is good quaility too. There are many animals like these who show humans the way, or help humans, but we don't hear about them all. We know Dolphines saves sailors, but Dolphins gets slaughtered till the seas turns red in even developed countries like Denmark and Japan. I also saw a news article about a Duck who went all the way with a team like this, but they had finally abandoned that faithful duck at a lake in an area famous for Duck meals/recipes. How sad, why couldn't they just bring him home??
No one is a dog person, until they met one. Its hard to explain the relationship between a person and a dog, but its just a beautiful relationship to have, it really could change the life for better good, for both.
So stoked for a movie about our incredible sport of adventure racing!! I raced in the World Championships the year after Arthur and everyone was still talking about him ❤️🙌
It's a wild sport, imagine ironman triathlon times 10 and you get adventure racing! From the trailer it's seems like they did a great job making it look realistic!

I never knew this was a thing. Been sitting here wondering what I've wasted my life on with nothing to show and nothing to look forward to. I'm very motivated to find out more.
Wow !!!! i call my dog King Memph and he looks just like Arthur. Got his face tattooed on me i love him to death, hes my life. Was given to me during a tough time in my life. 12 years later and he is still the King and still my best friend. ❤ 👑 🐶
I'm from the Dominican Republic. This movie trailer hit me hard, I miss my beautiful island in the Caribbean sea. Seeing the trailer and recognizing almost every place is priceless.
A dog is truthful loyal and loving. I'll definitely watch this movie in the theatre and tear up a lot. Last year, my 17-year-old pal left me, peaceful. I am satisfied, he is my first dog and last dog. Love him and miss him.
Arthur was an Ecuadorian dog who attached himself to a Swedish adventure racing team when they were competing in the Adventure Racing World Championship in 2014, and was then brought to Sweden 🇸🇪
And may God bless yours. We rescued a dog from the local shelter, she was the best companion and friend for almost 16 years. I started crying watching this trailer. I really want to rescue another one soon.
You named your dog rufus? I didn't know that was allowed. But if he was a Rufus, thank you. I'm sure he was loved. Just personally i prefer more unique names. Like Spot. My last dog? Rex. But my childhood dog was literally named Arthur. He was the best dog ever. Ever. It's a distinguished name for a distinguished guy. It was my grandpa's name is actually why we chose it
There was a lot of writing in Swedish newspapers about this when i happened, after quarantine and lots of travel he finally came here, to the cold north. It became a book and now a movie, great story!
Lindnord (Wahlberg), the captain of a Swedish adventure racing team, befriends a wounded stray dog named Arthur, who accompanies the team on a grueling 400-mile endurance race through the Ecuadorian jungle
I remember this. Mikael from Sweden met a dog during his time in Ecuador (i think). If i remember right the dog died in 2020 or 2021. Made big news here in Sweden. RIP Arthur.
Siempre me encanto la historia y la primera vez que la escuche pensé que era mentira, investigue para descubrir que si fue verdad y se merecía una película ... Claro que la voy a ver.
Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou. A pure, beautiful, uplifting film, with no woke bs. Made to entertain, enjoy, feel good, with some crying. Going to the theater. ❤❤
@@jimv5731 I think you are over thinking. A good story doesn't have to insert things. Looks good. Going to have a date with hubby. And THAN we will know. Oh and dogs ALWAYS give unquestioned loyalty and empathy is a given in films.
