Hey, 3 year old veteran here😂 man I have quite a decent grasp on artifacts and their sub-stats, but since I hit end game I found it really difficult to know what is good and not. Literally today I was searching around for artifact videos etc to find you brought out one just now. Thanks for this I found it truly useful and hope you do some more artifact videos from time to time!

Thank you so much for this, I just got lucky after buying into plariums progressive chance event and got Foli and Coldheart and even after watching guides they still weren’t that productive. As a very mid game player this helped A TON.

To me a substat that starts with only 4 points is a sell.And because there are no crit rate glyphs,my decision to keep or sell a piece,goes with the rolls on crit rate.

This is a GREAT video. It is always good to remind older players and newer ones how to '"read" the artifacts. I have fallen into the 6* legendary is best trap and after watching this I plan to take the time to go through every artifact I have. Not only will I cull out the dross, I'll make a bunch of silver too! Thank you Ash, I for one really needed this reminder.

RSLHelper and a good sell file - Seriously, you need it, you will thank me later, just do it already. Get rid of that overflowing gear in the mailbox. You need a serious gear cleanse. Perception helmet, with speed and accuracy and talking about trash it right away..... IT'S PERCEPTION GEAR! You got the two most important stats and you're talking about trashing it..... Crafting Lethal gear with rank and rarity charms but no mythical..... wtf... The atk% chest with double accuracy.... the whole point of perception gear is speed accuracy, you got 2 accuracy one speed with crit damage.... very good and you talking sunk cost.... Ath% boots, double roll defense%, garbage, waste of chaos dust.... dude wtf...

I think these kinds of videos are great every now and then and you're doing great explaining what's good for you and for progression. And I was one of those guys you were talking about. After the last inventory overflow I took some time and sold over half my inventory. Now I'm much more strict and the more you sort out, the better grasp you get over what's good or not. And these vids help.

If I didnt keep all this crappy gear, I'd have no gear at all. It feels like since I don't spend any money at all on RAID, they somehow know this and If I DO get a good piece of gear, it all rolls up with a single hit on each substat. I have3 played for over 2 years and don't have a single quad roll and only a hand full of triple rolls. It is to the point that I am about to quit; they just make it too hard. I'm old am am going to die before I get the kind of gear sets you guys talk about. 350+ speed with 350% crit damage and high ACC! How is that even possible?

As a 2 month old VETERAN, should i trash all 4 star rare? If i do that, i loose 90% of my artifacts. But i feel like almost all 4 star rare is useless

I'm pretty much at the end game. I don't take any rares or 5 star gear anymore. I also don't even roll it up to 12. I go to lv 8. And if it gets on the stat I wanted, then I'd roll it to lv 12.

12:08 I'm sure ash knows and brain farted, but to all the newer folks out there, shields can't roll atk% and weapons cant roll def%, so keep that in mind!

I usually auto skip gear vids but I'm glad I sat through this one. It makes me happy you spoke to to progression players as well. Most cc's are end game and beginning to mid game players are watching and end up selling good gear for their accounts.

The sets that I prioritise keeping nowadays is stone skin, protection, merciless and slayer. The 2-3 piece bonus can already replace other set if you got good stats on them. Not every sets worth keeping with current state of raid. For inventory issue, we just need to have that kraken mindset for gearing so you can sell most trash gear from clogging your inventory.

What to keep ? Relentless What to sell ? Everything from dungeons

I only keep 5 - 6 star ledgendery or mythical . The general rule what ever the main set peace is thats what you want as a sub-stat example - any resistance armour you want a resistance sub stat

interesting how you prioritise CR up with speed. makes sense when you think about - although I have always prioritised it, now its higher in my mindset. Last 8-10 months I have got a LOT harder on gear but still have way too full a mail box at times and naked champs fully built otherwise :P Oh menat to say content like this gets HUGE thumbs up for me. 4-5 year account and I still need a kick up the butt and a reminder on what to keep and what to sell :)

Wow, You get super great rolls ... Im drooling over your trash. Just amazing the rolls you got, I NEVER get rolls like that.

My question is. What do you do with these artifacts with that one Random sun-stat? For example you have crit and crit damage, but you get a flat stat HP/Def/Attk/Res? I ask because you only get four sub-stats, so… I’m thinking sell it because if speed, crit, crit damage, Acc, and speed are what is king, then to me that kind of piece is not worth rolling because you already know you are gonna be lacking one of the main 4 sub-stats. I know I would keep a set if it was a % sub. But can anyone let me know if I sell those? Because I think I should, but I’m not 100%.

I would keep the flat stat HP perception gloves with substat speed. I could potentially quad roll with 30 speed! I bet the could be better than most other speed/accuracy gloves you have?

For the centerline trio of gloves, chest and boots as well as the amulet and the banner, I generally only keep the ones with their exclusive prio-stats: CDamage, CRate, ACC, RES and SPD. The rest seems to drop much more commonly for me, so in the rare case I need one of those, I can generally easily aquire them. But, I'm always short on those prio-stats. The C-Damage gloves I *only* pick up when they come with the C-Rate substat. This isn't really necessary, but it does make it much easier to scrounge the required C-Rate to get that C-Damage to matter in the first place. I don't need RES chests or RES banners that often, so I regularly check how many I have of those for a given set or faction and throw away the worst ones, keeping 2 or 3 of them at most. Recently, I started dumping all my 5* gear, except some mythicals that are really good. A really good 5* mythical can sometimes be as good as, or even better than a really good 6* Legendary. This is especially the case for rings. A mythical 5* ring with its mythical boost on the percentile bonus matching the rings' primary stat, can end up being better than a similar 6* Legendary ring, though this does also depend on the champion you put it on. Still, these are "rules of thumb" that apply to my account at my current state of progress in the game. It's constantly evolving. I haven't reached the stage yet where I'm aiming for tripple-rolls on a single substat, but who knows? I might get to that point sometime as well, or maybe I'll end up with some entirely different system instead.

It's a good video because it does slowly over how and where to look for stats. My problem is always that no two pieces are going to be the same and you've only got what you got. On top of that, There's many champions that you can build in several ways based on what you want from them. I'm currently only 10 minutes in, I hope some light is shined on gear that might at first glance not be interesting, or is considered subpar, but where this could be useful or make for a creative build. [edit1]: at the 16 min mark. What I do not like that much, is the insane focus on speed. I feel that in part the nuts speed-values are what can destroy the fun in this game. [edit2]: One point I would like to see in the video as well, which wasn't touched on too much I feel, particularly for a early/mid progression player: What sets should we hunt for? Should I choose to go for Lethal (which I could only make in either 4/5 star) or Instinct (battlepass gives loads of fragments). stuff like then, what sets should be weighted against each other based on acquisition possibility versus use.

Thanks for making this video. I've been playing since early 2020, and I'm what many would consider a kraken... but gear has always been my downfall. I keep telling myself "But I might be able to use it somewhere!"

Hey Ash , new account new subscribe­. i think you're the real GOAT on RAID , you go so deep in detail that alot of content creator don't do and secondly , you explain so well i was so lost 1-2 years a go about that because the game don't provide a guide for this and you do it perfectly i was wishing that ashwalker will be at least EPIC for all the job you do on RAID. I have, easily, top 3 account. Hell maybe the best. One of the best, for sure. A couple difference betweennus and gear, I auto sell ALL lvl 5 gear. I make an exception for speed boots with great subs. And those are rare. As for level 6 epics... with speed? I'll keep them all ifnit has speed and other decent subs. A triple speed with crit and crit dmg... I'll take it. Epics are just fine and worth an 8 roll! Even at the furthest peak of this game. Btw your perception pull was amaIng hahaha.

Can I ask you something? Ash. Do you think epilepm made it easier for people to pull Mystical champions and legendary champions. Do you think people what play the game more? Wake me up at 1. That's kind of I'm not trying to b**** or complain? I love playing raid shadow legends, but I find when it comes to putting shards like it's massively too difficult And try to get champion you need feelings like Frustration and the way they put a lot of stuff behind paywalls like you gotta buy primal shards or you can earn them in live arena. But there's a lot of stronger people in raid shadow legends I just would like palerium make easy to putting champion

This was a very helpful video. I was wondering if you are a mid game player, is it really a bad thing to keep a flat stat HP/DEF instead of % if the rest of the artifact has stuff you need like speed/accuracy/crit rate? Hope your day is going happy and smooth!

I also keep 6* mythics of any type, for a trip or quad roll on the red stat and possible ore. Those are rare. But if I was you, I keep those boots and drop 8 on them. Double red roll? To 12! Anything else... instant sell. Keep in mind how rare mythic ore is, so I use them either on SS or trip quad lower gear

That was definitely helpful. I'm lvl62 & have been getting more cutthroat on my gear, & this is exactly what I needed to hear so I can have more confidence when doing that. * Especially liked the insight on the 3x rolls, I get it.

This is an excellent resource for me going forward. Definitely saving this video to a playlist for future reference. A question on the gear note, what is your personal rule when deciding stat% vs speed main stats on boots, and CritR% vs CritD% vs stat% on gauntlets? You already went over atk% gauntlets mainly being for bombers, and I know crit rate is not prefered at all, but to your point about a four roll crit rate lethal allows flexibility, would Crit R% gauntlets allow the usage of non crit crit rate gear that got high rolls in Crit Damage, or is that not worth it because that takes away from other stats you need/want like Speed or Accuracy?

Less than a year on Raid, and I have to say, Ash you are so awesome. If not for your videos I would be clueless and mostly because of you I am still going. In 11 days I get Visix. I can't wait! Then I can go watch your Visix guide.

Mhm. It doesn't make it worth it but should be noted that in lethal, a gauntled with crit dmg main stat and no crit rate substat is actually still as valaubale as a savage gauntled with 10% crit rate substat. It's actually even worth 20% crit rate if you can't build the set otherwise

a new player wouldn't beat the doom tower boss the lethal set comes from, just saying, so that part of the discussion is a bit irrelevant, because people that beat it will probably keep every piece at first and then sell off the rares later. that boss is tricky. I just beat it for the first time ever just now and I used mythic champions to do it. I know you don't need to, but I had to. Blademaster, Lazarius, Gizmak, Gharol and Dutchess is the team I used. it is the only team I've ever beaten the boss with. But yeah, lethal gear is great, I hope I'm able to get lots of it regularly.

Man that was so useful. I just wish you mentioned for the beginners, how weapon, helmet and shield are always flat stats. Some viewers will be mighty confused by you keeping flat stat items without that context...

I am a lazy slob and I have a full inventory of junk.. until I get fed up and sell like 75% of it. I got like a year and change in, but I'll get tired of the grind and sit out for a month or two. It's great to see how someone who knows wtf they are doing explain their thought process.

As a mid-game player this video is amazingly helpful now that stats and sub stats are becoming a necessary thing to know. I should be able to progress much easier with this knowledge for a baseline of to-do's and not to-do's

My champs have had decent builds from the get go on my main account my other and first account which I started 6 before the main to learn and make mistakes (still make mistakes on the main but not many ) what I find hard is there are obvious champs eg. Attack champs,what gets confusing are some say supports not as obvious some need crit some don't ,then theres hp champs artak for example what gloves hp crit rate or damage 😅😢

Great vid, would love to see more of this. Maybe go thru all or most usuable sets, maybe stun for ex. Maybe sets where the bonuses aren’t so clear cut. You get Perception, you’re obviously going for speed and accuracy, but what about stun or cursed sets?

Your luck at 41:01 is the way rolls almost aways end up on my account. Also, I NEVER keep a piece that does not have crit rate AND speed in it. Since I can't roll a triple crit rate to save my life, I need it on every piece.

I hate cleansing mainly because I usually get frustrated and want to toss a whole category of gear so the good stuff is more flexible. I also save next to nothing with high resistance, which is foolish, but the game in it's accountant's infinite wisdom makes you work for gear, pay to change it and then makes you burn it at fire sale costs considering how much upgrades cost.

those mythical perception boots with flat stat HP are absolutely a keeper for an HP nuker like artak if you have good HP% substats on other items. this is what drives me crazy about the raid community, flat stats as primary stats for gauntlets, chest and boots should never be automatic dealbreakers if there are other mitigating stats on a champ's other items.

Just my two cents on the mythical boots, I suggest trying to upgrade them first. If they go three or quad, then they're fine for a reroll. Since mythical artifacts were so hard to obtain, trying them out before selling them will be a better course of action than selling them right away. I hope this is useful.

This is so helpful. I removed many of the artifacts that were using slots. I am a bit less than an year in the time I have been playing. I am playing on a IPhone, and I wish there would be more info on progression through the game. I have many resources and a share of good champs, but not sure what to do with it all.

4:05 I use the rank, rarity, mythical, glove, and crit rate on lethal, depending on what the pass set is, I may want to focus on helm/shield/weapon just so I can have a 4 piece set and not need to settle on many bottom row slots.

unless you're just using ores on any merciless piece with multi rolls, you should be using ores on the bottom pieces not the top ones. it's harder to get a good bottom piece so it's more important to give yourself an extra chance on those.

You're addressing the exact thing I was not understanding the best. Something else I'd like to see is a "Team Setup" vid. Show a "skill order" setup in Arena/Tag Arena/Demon Lord/Hydra etc.
