This is an interesting topic. I've noticed in a lot of anime communities (such as on reddit) are starting to ban and not allow AI generated content due to "theft/thievery of the original images". At first glance, AI generated content looks amazing, and as if it was new and original content. It's only when you look at small details (like fingers, ears, glasses) where things start to not match up correctly, or 6 fingers.. etc. Is someone technically an artist for using an AI to generate amalgamations from a bunch of different artists? Is that technically stealing? There are so many new questions that will be answered in the coming years. From an objective standpoint, AI generation is an amazing tool that can create great artwork at a fraction of the time it would take to do normally. As of now I consider AI Generation a: Morally ambiguous opportunity (sort of like musicians who sample other musicians without credit)
