=====================
ESP stands for electric submersible pump. It is a is a form of artificial lift that uses an electric motor to drive a multistage centrifugal pump to lift resources from the well. In this video we’ll discuss why producers choose to use an ESP, the components of an ESP system and how it operates, as well as its advantages and disadvantages compared to other forms of artificial lift.

for reverse intake pump with hi GOR you said the separated gas travel up and exit at the wellhead, but we have the ESP PKR set, how will it happen?

Hello, thanks for Great Explanation. I just saw in some field that use Step Up Trafo before going to Junction Box for ESP. Why they increasing the voltage? isn't make it over volatge for the motor?
@austriangroyper9308
@austriangroyper9308 5 месяцев назад
You only get typically 480volts in but the motor needs between 2,000 to 4,000 volts typically. Thats what the step up transformer is for.

Good video. Normally, what is the height of this pump? How much deep it can go? Also, how does it suit to horizontal drilled wells? Thanks.
@KimrayInc
@KimrayInc 2 года назад
An ESP can work well in deep horizontal wells. The number of pump stages, as well as the motor size/power will determine the exact depth that it can operate at and still deliver the desired wellhead pressure.

I worked for a major ESP service company for 5 years we ran them as deep as 10-12,000 feet on really deep well the deeper you go the more feet of head you are required to lift so more stages

can i run ESP without check valve? i have sandy wells .is it good idea?
@bryceredman7143
@bryceredman7143 7 месяцев назад
No back spin can cause twisted pump shafts if you attempt to restart the ESP shortly after a shutdown

Hi is it cost effective to reuse the ESP on another well after the first well dry?

Sorry, you'd need to refer to the manufacturer to answer that question. We're not properly able to speak to that exactly!

Which lubricant do we use here? Hydraulic 32?

Hi, thanks for the question, but we would have to refer you to a plunger lift system manufacture to answer that question. Flowco would be a great go-to for those questions.

How reliable are usually these pump!
@austriangroyper9308
@austriangroyper9308 5 месяцев назад
Depends a lot on well conditions. Sometimes they can run for 5-10 years, but a lot of time it is only around 1or 2 years.
