i like the style of video as it's something i haven't seen in other review videos. solid foundation. i think once you plateau on a consistent setup then introducing only a single variable (e.g. change only the mousepad or only the skates and then monte carlo test the scenarios for a week or 3) will be more definitive/scientific, but again i like this style of overlaying the mousepads/skate changes w/ the graphs then performing the analysis! :) 👍

Ty for the appreciation it's somewhat pseudo scientific I also have to factor in that i'm improving because I do it every day. The problem it this takes a lot of time because I only allow myself one attempt a day.

I'm on an xsoft otsu and xm2we as well and can't be happier with the combination, got a shidenkai v2 on the way and hoping something might finally replace my otsu now that it's starting to show signs of wear

i got a second otsu as a spare, oh they wash out pretty easy also

@@DatBoyGuru any specific way you'd recommend to wash the pads? I usually do it with a cloth and some soap in a tub, but I think my excessive scrubbing may be the cause of the surface wear

@@forbandyson8921 i use very little hand soap and a soft bristle brush and scrub away under running shower.. I let it dry in room temp overnight away from fans. If you blow with a fan there will be spots left on the pad. I've done this multiple times pad is like new again every time.

hey man i have a hayate otsu soft, i feel like its super scratchy, im trying to tell myself its good, but honestly its rough scratchy and not hte best, any ideas as to what to do?

it's pretty smooth compared to zero or hien so idk why yours is scratchy. Maybe you used to have a silky smooth type surface before you tried an otsu

@@DatBoyGuru yes, my other mousepad is VERY smooth, is it better for it to be "not smooth" for better precision?

@@Vauneaa in premium fast pad world, otsu is considered quite smooth. other fast pads are rough and sandpaper like. there are some fast pads that are very smooth too, like an Artisan Raiden for example. for better precision, it's very subjective so i cannot say how it will work for you.

I hear so many polar opposite opinions on this pad, some love it, some absolutely hate it. I’d like to try the otsu but I’m afraid I’d be on the side of not liking it

this is a super safe pad, there's nothing out there like it, and if you don't like it you probably won't lose any money moving it on
