Tuckz, seriously thank you This was a VERY good and informative review CLEAR audio GOOD information and i love the incite about how the same x/y difference and super low static frction can create the illusion that it's faster than the hien. that was super great bc i was watching other reviews and many were saying it was faster than the hien which contradicts what is said on the artisan website Thank you once again.

Hi, have you ever used or heard of cordura mousepads? And whats your opinion on it?
@AtlantisTuckz
@AtlantisTuckz 3 года назад
Yes I have i used the ROG scabbard a few years back now which was really good performance wise it didn't have as good stopping power as some other mousepads at that speed but still good enough for most people
@codexnecrogeddon
@codexnecrogeddon 3 года назад
If you want cordura, get the Endgame Gear pad. Or just get a Hien... it feels rough like cordura but the surface is even better. I used two cordura pads then got a Hien mid and I'm set.

Had my Otsu for 2 months now, got Hien yesterday and you are spot on... can't understand why people say Otsu has more stopping power than Hien. Otsu feels premium like no other pad on the entire market but performance is meh.

Glad my instincts were right LOL something ive always said but alot disagree with me on
@hurricane-1836
@hurricane-1836 3 года назад
I think your feelings are based on the X Y difference and the Hien's rougher surface. I will give an example to make it clearer - I very easily stop the mouse on my tiger Eba, unlike Zero Soft, but the point is that my little finger literally touches the surface of the carpet and due to the fact that the Eba has a surface OOOVery "rough", even though there is a strong difference in speed between these carpets, I can easily stop movements on what is faster. What I am writing all this for - you need to take these points into account, because some people do not touch the carpet at all when they play, for them the situation may be proportionally inverse. (the text was translated using Google, I apologize if in some moments it may look incoherent)
@AtlantisTuckz
@AtlantisTuckz 3 года назад
@@hurricane-1836 nice ideas but I don't touch the pad when i play on any pad. I think the rougher texture Is just a good match for the Hiens speed where as the smoother texture makes the hayate slightly slippery imo

Tucks, I'm using a Logitech G Pro X Superlight on a GSR-SE and I hate the mousepad (After 3 months of usage only). I have 0.324 800DPI Sens in Valorant and I flick alot so I'd like to have good stopping power but still a smooth pad. Also I tend to put pressure on the mouse and I use the top side of the mousepad (arm player). What do you recommend? I feel like after watching reviews and videos the adequate mousepad for me is the Artisan Hayate Otsu (XSOFT). First I thought about going with the SOFT (Safe bet, can't go wrong with that) but people say that the XSOFT on the new hayate isn't like the xsoft/soft on the zero. I don't want my mouse to drown in the mousepad. Sorry for the long comment and thanks in advance.
@AtlantisTuckz
@AtlantisTuckz 3 года назад
Hard to say but I can help narrow It down for you, Zero definitely get either the Soft or Mid both are great Soft will feel more like a normal cloth pad a bit softer than the GSRSE and the Mid will feel really flat consistent and harder than normal clothpads and it will also come with a little more speed and less of a muddy sensation when applying pressure. Out of the Hayates I only own the Soft variant which is definitely faster than both Zero versions so maybe the xsoft is the way to go but I can say as I haven't tried it yet unfortunately. Best of luck tho

For the people who are confused . The pads he talked about in the vid are all from the same company named artisan. They make all kinds of pads from cloth to coated / mud to speed pads. Think about it like this for sports we all have different unique type of shoes we like to wear when playing a sport and some may be comfortable and some might not. Which is why there is no real way of saying which pad is the best between the artisan pads. Don’t get me wrong artisan is the best mouse pad company out there. Which is why it’s so hard to say which is the best pad bc it all goes down to preference. I only tried two pads from there which I loved both (hien and zsro ). Two completely different pads which are the great in their own way. Hope this helps a little when buying a pad since it’s not just a mouse pad. This mousepad will have much more impact on ur gameplay. Hope u find ur main pad. Good luck guys !

Question. Got the Skypad 3.0 but it felt too weird. I liked it but there was no stopping power at all which wasnt great for CSGO but wonderful for COD. I currently use the GSR SE which is rly shit. Like i need something in between from speed to stopping power. No big stopping for every single small movement but still power, yet also Speediness because i use a low sens (CSGO 800 dpi 1.8) and i flick a lot. A lot of people tell me to get the Zero Soft but some argue that the Hien is better because it doesnt wear out fast but also doesnt feel muddy like the GSRSE. You got any tips??? i rly dont wanna return 500 mousepad and wait 5 years for the other one to get here which i maybe hate and get the first one again.
