Definitly more than "a nod" of Ska in there. Born in '65, I was around when Madness with songs like "One Step Beyond" hit the German charts, and the suits, their dance style and even the lead singers accent fit pefectly. I don't remember if that "unity" principle was already a thing with the British Ska bands of the time. With Ska beeing rather a working class music, it would certainly make sense, and "Our house" by Madness for sure is a song about family and its daily joys and struggles. My favourite out of your list is probably Raised By Wolves. On a final note, the backing vocals are pretty tight. Sibling Harmonies might be at work here. Thank you for introducing me to The Interruptors! Definitly worth further listening. Keep up the good work!
Thanks so much for taking the time to watch this episode and provide your comments! They are truly appreciated. And, yes, we also fondly remember Madness! ;-)
