I like your Story Teller doll. I watched you make the Juneteenth doll, too. They’re both beautiful. When I was little, we used those Copenhagen circle containers to hold our treasures. When we played store or house, the boxes held our “pantry” staples like dirt, sand, grass, seeds, pebbles, whatever made us happy. I’m glad I was a Boomer kid. We were free to run around. My daughter thinks she was in the last generation to have that freedom. She could be outside, but always within the sound of my voice.
Thank you Mara :) I did have the freedom to run around, dig in the dirt, and collect specimens... but I lived in a very small insular town growing up. My kids were more sheltered although they did roam the dry river beds behind the house occasionally.
These are gorgeous but I have to say the paper doll is the winner for me.What a fabulous idea.I really love her.The body/ dress is so bright and colourful ..But I also love the frog pocket too. What a great idea for doing different ideas for these trading cards 🥰
Think I’m going to have to make something similar to the frog in the pocket for my older grandkid. If she could, she’d put one in her pocket. I’ll remind her what you said about chances are it’ll die in there.(LOL). Cute cards, Shel. Clever to attach the head of the doll so the ATC is the correct size. Don’t want “no stinkin’ “ complaints! Think I’ll go do a chore now….
Too funny! I think the jean pocket has yellow "ribbits." Your Story Teller card is gorgeous. The story it tells me is that ATCs don't have to be square. Love that it is interactive. A must try! Thanks for the inspiration.
FYI LOL From what I remember of my brother's "friends" as a child, the belly on most frogs is yellowish white. These are both super interactive ATC's Shel. Love them, thanks so much!
these 2 are so cute! love your art. your comment about ATC size and someone making a remark, reminded me when I used to paint rocks and sell them. a woman asked me in a snarky manner if I washed them before painting. well duh. I behaved and replied nicely. lol thank you for creating/sharing your artwork. :_)
Thank you Wanda :) I know..people are so...unfiltered with their thoughts sometimes. And in order to maintain a professional image we can't just say what we really want in reply LOL 'Wash the rocks..heck know...I just lick them clean before the paint goes on'
Good ideas. I'm going to an atc class later this week. Can use any idea I find. I plan my cards because I'm not good with creating atcs on the spot. PS I have made folded cards. I figure it would be ok as long as the card fit into the sleeve.
