This is a very good video. I just bought this coiling gizmo from Hobby Lobby yesterday. I have the original one, but this one is even better because it has the attached clamp and the different size coiling rods. I like the fact that I don't have to buy colored jump rings, I can make them with the coiling gizmo. I really like that tiny little rod because it makes the such cute little coiled beads. I saw this tool years ago but never got one until today. I'm really excited to get started. I am wondering if you plan to make another one with larger rods? I was kind of disappointed that the largest one is only 5mm. I want to make really large jump rings. Thanks.
I have a question. You used the nylon jaw pliers to straighten a couple of inches of wire and then proceeded to use that wire to wrap around the rod. The rest of the wire was formed into a coil but the nylon jaw pliers weren't used after that. So are the nylon jaws really necessary when using the wire to make coils?
I am so sorry to take so long to reply back to you. I still don't understand a lot about RU-vid. Anyway, it was about $11 I think. Check Hobby Lobby's website. You really want the newer version since it has more rods.
