It’s indeed a pretty box 😊 I think these are not even student grade paints but rather school or craft level (nothing wrong with that as long as the price reflects this). On another note, I always wonder why some companies provide a swatch chart that doesn’t follow the order of the pans in the box - I find it so confusing (happens in artist grade paints too!).

I though they are craft grade too, but company informed me that they are student grade. 🧡

I think it is ok for influencers to review materials they may not like... for me.. I feel the more the merrier and more information is helpful when I finally decide what to purchase. As for DS watercolor.. I am here in the states.. and they are way beyond my budget even here and to me, not worth the price tag, but a lot of watercolor artists seem to love them. I appreciate the quality of the videos that Alyona gives us. There are many youtubers that spit out poor quality videos, but Alyona always provides good quality. I appreciate that she was willing to show something that she was not in love with, but that might work for those on a limited budget. She has always responded kindly when I have not always enjoyed something she showed. And I will continue to watch, as she definitely tries hard to provide good information for us so that we can decide for ourselves what might work.. Thanks Alyona.. keep posting.. I will keep watching.. ; )

Thank you so much Marie! I have decided to delete the comment that you are referring to, as I felt it had a bit of an agenda. 🧡

I think opinions can change, and it's good for people to admit they were wrong instead of holding on to their opinions only to secretly have a different opinion, because they think changing opinions shows they are weak. Changing your mind also shows that a person has updated their views and may have learned something.🙂 The point of a review is that a person shows how they feel about a product, and I think different opinions and experiences of a product, when the people reviewing it explain why they find something that way. Very helpful to see, if I would like something myself, if I have a similar way of working as the person doing the review. Only positive reviews don't help me any further if there is a suspicion that some people only praise a product in order to get the next products from a manufacturer for free and or that a manufacturer finds them good. It can also be that the favourite materials change after some time because something new has been tried. It also happened to me, or with me, it was even whole media, I used to like opaque watercolours, gouache, charcoal and these drawing sticks from these drawing sets, wax crayons, Chinese ink and oil paints. Which was that these materials were comfortable for me to handle since the start and the default texture looked nice to me, What I could archive with them also looked similar to what I saw in instruction books. I thought these are the materials that are for me and I found out how they work exactly. I hated acrylics, watercolour, pastels and oil pastels. With all four materials, it was the same problem. In retrospect, I always had the wrong material that wasn't suitable for me as a beginner, and with other materials these media even became some of my favourite media. I have long thought that all materials from a medium are very similar to each other and if I don't like one of them that shows me that it is the wrong medium for me and I can't learn to handle it as well as other people, who probably can't handle the materials I like either. Watercolour was too difficult for me to control the amount of water and paint, either flooding or desert, I couldn't get it to work. In the instructions from the watercolour books I had looked at, the pictures often had such interesting textures and I did lots of different things with my paints to get those textures, it didn't work, and I was really down that something that looked so great to me couldn't become my medium, it was really sad for me at the time.😢 It was Schmincke Akademie watercolours, the shop where I bought them didn't have any other brand than Schmincke for Paints. The texture was granulation, as I found out years later, and that can't be painted with paints that contain fine grounded pigments for that. I was miffed about Schmincke for years because they ruined watercolour painting for me. Now I'm just disappointed that the only Art shop in town at the time only sold Schmincke, The whole thing would have been quite different if they had also sold other brands and I could have bought a van Gogh box for example.

This looks like a good quality set. Although, one never needs so many colours.

I wouldn't like the set that much, It doesn't have enough mixing space for me.
