I have the bud 10 and really like it for my electrics, but I’ve had a hard time dialing it in for acoustic. It just sounds a bit harsh. Any tips on dialing it in for acoustic?

For the life of me I cannot understand why anyone would want to take a good acoustic guitar and make it sound like a cheap electric. Why not buy a 100,000 dollar Steinway piano and attach it to a Fishman piezo pickup. All bollox!

Sadly an acoustic guitar isn't loud enough for big venues.

@Chris Hayworth it has nothing to do with volume, its the way the sound of a fine acoustic is changed to a cheap sounding clacky, electro piezzo sound! Why not just buy a cheap electric guitar and be done with it? What is the point of spending thousands on fine handmade guitars and the bastardise their sound?

I agree but it depends on the setting. Acoustic tone chasing “my guitar only louder” in a band setting is fruitless. However, an acoustic has a way wider dynamic range than an electric when not considering what electric players use to manipulate their tone (amps, pedals, etc). Watch Phil Keaggy, Tommy Emmanuel, or David Wilcox live and try to imagine all that glorious ambient tone on an electric guitar. Ain’t gonna happen.
