I feel that every episode represents lessons or stages to be an artist. It's something like this: Ep1: True to what you are Ep2: True to your gift Ep3: Don't be arrogant Ep4: Not everything will work out Ep5: Let go of your distress Ep6: You're doing great! Keep it up! It kinda cheesy saying out loud but those simple things are hard to achieve for many. I like how you put it. I like this energy and it's beautiful too, of course. Thank you so much 💞💞
Theory: Lulu didn't died At the end of chapter 4, we know that Lulu wished to died, and we see her disappear at the end, this make us think that Lulu is dead, but this is not true. If we pay attention in how Nina's wishes actually work. Nina's wishes don't make thing happened magically, they give the client enough strength to make their dream come true. that means Lulu's wish didn't kill her but it give her the will of killing herself. Now at the beginig of each new chapter we can see a reference to the last one. But in episode 5 we can't see any direct reference to Lulu. But if we pay attention in minute 30:57 we can see the same building were Lulu's was at the begining of chapter 4 and this building seem to be related to the "Honokakuroki" hastag. So this what I think what happen: After Nina give Lulu her wish, she tried to kill herself by jumping of the builing, but someone stopped her and now she is getting help. (Sorry for bad english)
This is definitely a show with a lot of heart Even if it is relatively short, it's amazing how each episode is able to move people and give them more courage. I hope more people will discover this series. It feels like all this time and effort to make Artiswitch came from a very genuine and heartfelt place and I'd love to see more of it
I just binged watched the whole series and i love it. i loved the sudden dark shift in episode 4, the smiling goth girl was delightfully dark as she zipped down the world. it really creeped me out but also gave me a reality check that not all wishes should be granted. i also loved 6th episode, it really tied up the series as an episode on nina. I also love her last lines of wanting to comfort the whole world. it really warmed my heart.
At first it comes easy then it gets heavier and heavier to the point that Nina (the witch) starts to question herself... Ahhhh such goosebumps. I love this. I hope it gets more episodes and views.
Dream Saki is kind of cruel about it but like, she IS right. She doesn't belong to Tiara, or anyone, she's her own person with her own life. Tiara was just so focused on her attraction to Saki that she didn't really see her *as* a person to love, more as an idea to covet. Her reaction to seeing pictures of Saki having kissed other people makes it kind of clear that her feelings towards Saki certainly weren't healthy ones. I hope she was able to take the right things away from her wish, and get to be in a real loving relationship (maybe with the woman in the flashback scene).
I’m so fascinated with this series wth. The music is incredible, I love the style of animation, the characters. I really hope this blows up soon.. all the emotion and the messages it brings, it’s so beautiful. My favorite episodes would probably be second or third one but if I had to choose what I relate to the most it’d probably be the last one. Nina is amazing and I love her voice..
I don't really like 3-D animations in anime, but this one was such a journey A lot of colors, amazing soundtrack, such deep episodes It kind of reminds me to 18if or Wonder Egg Priority, I'm not saying they're the same, it's just that they're similar That last episode was so amazing, having an episode with our "protagonist", telling is why she is a witch and making it so that we can even relate to the shopkeeper, I've never seen something like that and I'm so amazed at this whole anime A masterpiece, I hope it gets more recognition
3 is my favorite episode! The colors are nice, and i feel the lesson applies to me a little. I'm not as egotistical as the boy, but as an artist, his struggles apply to me a bit. All the other episodes were also a joy to watch! Keep up the great work!!!
the episode with tiara sorta broke my heart as a hopeless romantic, i've developed an emotional attachment towards my boyfriend and can't imagine him leaving me,, it hurts considering we've been together for almost 2 years now.
Funnily enough it shows LGBT themes where the romance doesn't always work out either! Something modern media has, ironically, romanticized is gay relationships being hunky dory all the time!
Can someone explain Lulu to me? I thought the whole point of her episode was that she wanted to die and succeeded in the end and that was traumatising for the witch. But then we see her in the last episode?? Why? I mean, im glad, but i really thought she had died
My guess is the number in the register, "666" means Nina didn't grant the customer's wish when they came into the shop. Instead she made them change their wish OR chose to deny their wish. "666" was also in the register for Tiara's episode.
The only thing Nina does is give them the courage they need to accomplish their wish, so in the end it's all up to the customer to do the thing they wish for. My guess here is that Lulu perhaps was stopped or failed her suicide attempt or maybe even changed her mind and didn't go through with it.
It was probably an illusion, she mightve been in heaven. I think it was traumatizing for Nina because it reminded her of her past and she wanted to save people, she didn't realise that Lulu was saved by her wish (to die)
Artiswitch is one of a kind!!! I'm really impressed, I didn't know something could be that good If you need any assistance translating the subtitles to portuguese I would gladly help Abraços do Brasil
2 years later :(( ALSO THE WAY RURU BOWS IS LIKE A PUPPET- and that way she just moves, Ruru looks like a porcelain doll or that type of doll you'd adore!- Wish Witch shop was real Also the unique artstyle, I thought it was a game
Oh my gosh, I honestly haven't been this moved by a piece of media in a long while, but this struck a chord with me. Usually I'm not a fan of 3-D in anime but the animators really took the time to make the art style feel natural and cohesive, as well as visually striking. The movements were fluid, the textures perfectly painted to give the feel of classic anime without looking out of place, the expressions subtle and complicated enough to read perfectly- I loved this. The concept as well is fantastic, it's not often you see a wish-granting witch that's actually benevolent. I had a blast theorizing how Nina's powers worked and what her contract was with her two "patrons." The idea that only the people who really need her will find her is something I'm a sucker for, but I really liked the symbolism of the objects the customers chose as well as how Nina's appearance and personality subtly shifted to cater towards each one. I will say, Lulu's episode was like emotional whiplash- I wasn't expecting such a wholly unsettling experience with her wish, and honestly I'm still not entirely sure what her wish was and how it was granted. Most people in the comments seem to assume she wanted to die, but I frankly interpreted her situation differently. Lulu, to me, felt very hollow; as if she didn't quite have a full personality, but was a robot acting off "likes" and "dislikes" akin to 1's and 0's. I had, at first, assumed that she had wanted to find herself, or find a passion. Seeing how her "session" with Nina ended frankly threw me for a loop in the best of ways. I dare say that might have been my favorite episode simply from how unexpectedly creepy it was. I'm happy to see Lulu is still alive and seemingly happier though, regardless of what her original wish may have been. This is a fantastic anime and I really hope there's more than just these six episodes- I'd kill to see a full series! A huge thank you to everyone that worked on this! You did amazing!
This was absolutely amazing and beautiful!! Even though I had no idea what the singer was saying, I could still understand the feelings it was going for. This was an absolutely amazing experience! Also love the way you guys did the eyes. Keep going forward!! ❤️
For me, it has to be either 1 or 5 because the songs/designs in those episodes are AMAZING also they focused on relatable problems so I connected on a personal level ^^
Its been a year already?! These series is such an inspiration! I've been watching these and sharing these to my friends most of the time because of the lessons i learned from it, these anime is such a hidden gem thank god i found these when its still ongoing love the songs and visuals i hope these got its recognition it deserves
Omg, I must thank RU-vid for showing me this in my recomended. I've fallen for this anime. It so good, love the fashion and music and the themes that it tackles makes it more realistic and Nina is best protag and best girl.
thanks to youtube, i got this vid on my recommendation and i should say, this masterpiece is everything. the way this project inserted lots of problems that mostly teenagers/young adults are going through are incredible. the visual, the music, everything is perfect. i cried in the last episode when Nina questioned herself. i relate to her a lot that it hurts. now i really wish i could bring any happiness or maybe, bring people the thing that they wished for
i just discovered Artiswitch last night because of the new Marionette song, and i’m deeply happy to have found this series i’ve already watched through the whole thing all over again multiple times to show to my girlfriend and some friends we each connect a lot with different characters i see myself a lot in nina, and my friends immediately noticed it too someone loud and colorful who mirrors others and deeply wants to comfort and save them because of her own pain i’m very happy to hear that there’s going to be more things uploaded for artiswitch, and i’m doing my best to spread the word and find even more people who will love it as much as us thank you so much for making such a beautiful series, from the art to the outfits to the music to the story it’s all such a wonderful experience
my friend recommended this anime to me and i absolutely love it, the art style is beautiful and the stories are amazing :D i hope artiswitch gets more recognition
I think tiara ended up finding someone that will actually love her. It’s not really evidence, but when we see her reading the magazine and then waving at someone, I don’t think it’s the same friend she used to be with, or at least I hope not. She was wearing like rolled up sleeves, instead of frilly loose sleeves like her ex friend
I can’t wait for the next season! I can’t wait to see this world grow and develop as more characters are introduced and we see more development for our witchy girl!
I just noticed this now and I might be getting it wrong, but I like how Mana's lesson is about not being afraid to stand out, while after that is Akihiro's lesson about not being too "out there" taht you end up being unsatisfied with your own work and end up being a douche to others... its a neat little thing... I like it
Woahhh this was so beautiful to watch ♡♡♡♡ the colors, the music, the voices, the personality of each character ✨✨✨✨ omg i love this so much and i adore the message that it gives 💖💖💖
I just got this series in my recommended videos on RU-vid, I just watched the whole thing and now I seriously hope RU-vid pushes it to more people. It is incredible and I want more people to watch!! Beautiful designs, animation, and story. When people say "Anime shouldn't be done in 3d, real anime is only 2d animation!" I'm going to make them watch this. I also hope for more Artiswitch content in the future, I need more!! One of my new favorite animes for sure!!
This is really amazing series! I have watched all six episodes and they are great! 3D is very high quality, the series itself interested in the presentation and plot. The problems of people that were shown are very vital. The moments from the 1st and 2nd episodes are quite familiar, although the 4th and 6th episodes fell into the soul very strongly. Nina's storyline was a pleasure to watch. In the end, I cried for a long time, because I really understand her feelings at that moment. Even after watching 6 episodes again, I still cry. It's wonderful! I'm very glad I stumbled upon this series. Thanks for this wonderful work!
My fave is episode 4 it kind of reminds me of myself I don't like some things but i like other things and when my wish is granted I stay there forever...
This was beautiful, the colors, the characters, and the music, it felt like a fever dream and one I'll enjoy, and the majority if not all characters were relatable! amazing work!!
The witch who owns the shop is kinda like me because she wants to comfort or help people but she should save herself first. I comfort people and help them but I have to save myself or else I would end up badly.
Thank you for the great artwork!! I do believe this will help a lot of people that struggling in some of this phase! Beautifully made 💐 Blessed to found this!! Otsucurry!!
