So I received my order yesterday and I tried it. I like the smell and the viscosity of the beard oil. I do think it smells allot like one of the scents they already have though. I think it’s called winter. I do notice your scent dissipates rather quickly! All in all I will keep using it because I like the menthol aroma. Thank you and keep up the great work . I have learned allot from your channel.

Thank you! That is just the nature of any scent profile like this. They are not able to last super long, especially being that they are using real essential oils and not fragrance oils. I would agree it is in the same family as winter's chill, but there are for sure beautiful differences there

Good for you, Dan. Personally I prefer a thicker oil and relatively unscented - but I have a goatee mustache combo (sometimes referred to as a "circle beard") and have a preferred scent of aftershave that I slap on my cheeks after shaving. No need to scent the beard. Right now I'm an oil only guy because I'm just trying to get things nice and soft and touchable (for the benefit of the wife.) In a callback to one of your earlier videos I'm trying the extra virgin olive oil thing as a beard oil. I'll report back at some point when I have sufficient data.

You said in his video that you should always dampen your beard before putting oil what is the purpose of that to help the oil stay in better or to condition the hairs better?

Hey Albert! The two main reasons would be: 1) The hairs are porous, so when you have a damp beard the products seal/coat the hairs. That locks in the water in hairs as the excess water dries. 2) It just makes it easier to evenly spread the products, especially butter. Ok so I finally got around to trying this collab oil. Man this is some good stuff. I usually use Artius Man because I prefer a thicker oil. With that being said this thinner blend still has a good feel in the beard. The scent is killer. Invigoration is a great name for this oil. I used it this evening after my post workout shower. After a workout and a warm shower I'm normally wiped out, but a couple whiffs of this oil and I felt perked right up. All in all this is great oil that will make it's way into my normal rotation.

In one of your videos you were going over some of the oils that are fillers and I bought a bottle of Artius Many beard oil and like it but I did notice it has castor oil in it which you said was a filler and it won’t hurt anything but also doesn’t help anything just wondering what your thoughts are on this I love the thickness of the oil and the smell is wonderful but I don’t want to be buying something from a company that uses fillers.

The thicker oil does not work well for me, but my collab with them is amazing for my beard! They are a great company

I think you mis-heard or mis-watched my video. I did not name castor as at all. That was never mentioned in my filler video. If you like thick oil, castor is great!

Artius Man is great but like you, DanC, it’s been too thick for me. So a thinner oil from them is noice! Any idea if they’ll be offering this scent in a butter as well?
