After my first failed attempt with this plane, the Parkzone Artizan from Horizon Hobby, I have been practicing hard with various trainer planes and cubs.
Watch as I put this plane through some fairly extreme flying maneuvers....... Man this thing is FUN!
I have glued the Artizan back together and added some carbon fibre rods across some of the joins and it seems to be holding tight.
When you see the plane rocking it's because of the mobius camera on the wing. This plane is very stable and locked in during flight.
I love it and can't wait for the batteries to recharge. I am flying it on 2600mah 3S 45C batteries.

Kick ass jax glad to c er back n the air. From the rolls u were doing looks like the repairs u made r solid. Thumbs up buddy great vid like the riding on the wing view. If my dealer would have came through for me last night this vid would have me made me swivel n my chair will watch again later on tonight what a trip man even with the nose over on landing. Awesome Jax! You were flying like a wild man or a man possessed... which would help explain the flaming skull channel icon ha ha! Seriously, great flight, maneuvers and emergency landing. +yowieP51 Yeah mate, I have it pretty sussed now. I will start taking my BIX3 up soon and hopefully have a go with FPV on it as well. I also see a nice warbird in the not too distant future. Thinking about a Eflite P51D mustang. Only thing about warbirds is they all seem to be small?

+Basildon Trail Blazing Buddies Yeah the glue seems to be holding great, I have to say I half expect to see it just fly apart mid air, especially when I'm pushing it hard. I don't know that I can go bigger, but now I just need to get more technical with stuff like knife edges, hovering and flat spins etc......Too easy ha ha ha

I'm just happy I can fly a little quad, well almost. With all the fancy flying you want to do, in my case even the glue would not fix it.

***** Ha ha, it's actually not that hard once you get it sussed. It's hard to learn by yourself like I did with no instructor. I am going to train a friend of mine with my super cub, the white 3 channel one. I will just grab the TX off him if I think he's gonna crash it. wish me luck ha ha

+DirelectRC You can hear the prop pulse a bit before I land which indicates the battery is about to run out so I came in too quick to get it down fast as this plane needs speed to fly, it doesn't glide well at slow speed and the battery runs out really fast after the warning. It was a cool little jump and there was no damage (-: Cheers Buddy, thanks for watching!

That's cool. I am thinking about getting into fixed wing aircraft so I can stay up (hehe) longer and go out all over town with gps taking pictures while I drink beer at home. I really like the apm flight controller and it says it can work in planes just like in quads with all the modes like return to home and loiter and stuff.

+BattonFive This plane is like second nature to me now, I just fly it and do all kinds of crazy stunts, loops, barrel rolls, forward loops, inverted flying, knife edges etc, I am still practicing hovering, but I am slowly getting there. I just got a P51 Mustang yesterday, flew it about 8 times before finally crashing it. It flys way different to the artizan and there is retractable landing gear and flaps to think about when landing. I have already glued it all back together and it looks like a brand new one again ha ha

Jax Teller RC lol that's quite a jump from where you were :-p I remember you having a go at those training planes :-D calibrating your fingers to the reversal of controls and stuff :-) could tell from this vid how far you have come along, your flight is very smooth going in and coming out of the rolls :-p love how they just glue back together, I mean I guess they should right but darn its nice the practical matches the theory :-) will be sweet the more types of planes the more universal your flying skill will become right :-D

Jax Teller RC yeah looking at the wing flair on the mustang compared to these wider flat wings I can really imagine the difference in handling :-) this looks like it has the wings of a bomber rather than a racer or something :-) but the stability for that air displacement looks like a mega perk :-) if I can get one of these to train on before I go on to a Lancaster it would be sweet :-D im thinking simulator - trainer - Lancaster

BattonFive The Artizan is a made up plane, it's not scale so they have been able to optimize it for it's size and power to fly incredibly well, whereas the P51 or a Lancaster are scale planes and they make them so they fly in a scale way. they are a bit lazy on the controls. The Artizan will do about 4 rolls to one roll that the P51 can do

+NJ Sullyalex Thanks mate, yeah they are pretty easy to fix with the right glue. I have been flying a lot and have had a few crashes to get to this level of flying. I do still have the F-15, I am thinking about having another go at flying it now that I know how to fly. It is underpowered though, maybe I need a better battery for it (-:

+Steve RC Oh thats cool man, but i do recommend you learn to fly with a cub type plane first, those V? wings can be very twitchy by the looks of them. The ARTIZAN is a beautiful plane to fly, I was flying mine inverted close to the ground a month or so ago and then pulled up by mistake and smashed straight into the ground smashing it to bits. No chance of fixing it. I bought a new fueselage and wings and just rebuilt it last week. Painted it myself red and gunmetal grey with metal flake. I really love flying the Artizan, there are no surprises with it, it just does as it's told and takes off and lands like a dream. For this video I have velcro on the wings in different locations and used a mobius cam. Great fun (0:

awesome mate hope it flies well for you. you definitely spend more time tinkering repairing ,setting up and building your models than you do actually flying but its great also to learn things and challenge oneself. Hoping to maiden a new one before work tomorrow in local park bought a umx p3 evolution biplane earlier in week and itching to fly. happy flying my brother .!

I fly every day after work, If the weather permits. I would say I spend way more time in the air than repairing these days. I nearly bought the big version of the evolution, but having to buy 6s batteries for it just made it too expensive. They are a fantastic looking plane but would take a lot of skill and practice to master. You need fairly calm wind conditions for those little planes. Have fun with it mate (0:

Well, that was a bit longer than the maiden flight. Did you compensate for the Mobious with counterweight on the other wing?

+Steve RC Ha ha ha, yeah a loooot longer! I used an old receiver with a washer glued to the top of it as a counterweight on the opposite side, works great, but it and the mobius catch the wind and give the plane a bit of a wobble but it's nothing major and doesn't affect the flight at all. I also tried them on the tail but they made it tail heavy and I was lucky to get it down before crashing ha ha.

+Jax Teller RC I can see the receiver as the counter, you were figuring on matching the shape and aerodynamics to equalize the additional drag. Good thinking. Interesting on the tail mount attempt, that it messed with the front/back distribution. I like the view pointed towards the canopy, haven't seen that angle on any other fly YTs.

Steve RC Yeah that was the idea and it worked out really well. I tried the tail mount again and moved the battery a bit forward and didn't use the counter weight. I had to adjust the trims in flight but it worked out pretty well, but I think my mobius cameras battery needs replacing as it only last for 5 minutes!

+Jax Teller RC The other thing I was thinking of is those view of a jet taking off fron a carrier, tail mount, then pops right into a barrel roll. Makes for great POV video. Just spit-balling, tossin' thoughts. I understand the Mobious batteries are available, but a tedious operation.
