I thought your review was phenomenal. I decided on Motion Array, finding that the cost was less, and if you search properly, many of the cinematic shots from Artlist can actually be found on Motion array as well! I also love the Premier plug in. Thanks again and I used your link - I hope it helps you out.
Interesting video sir. I want to ask about artlist stock footage, I haven't subscribed yet, but when looking for LOG footage in the filter, why doesn't it look like LOG. Do I really have to subscribe and download it first to see LOG in the footage? thanks
Thank you for the info, I’m leaning towards MotionArrays as I use Premiere Pro on a regular basis, I don’t care much about Artlists’ big music selection as I normally use video game music in my videos, and MotionArrays is cheaper. :)
Fantastic and thorough video, appreciate it! Had no idea that Motion Array included a website and video sharing feature inside of the subscription I already had! Thanks for that great tidbit of information and value!
This was really helpful but I do have a question...I am looking to use one of these platforms and terminate my existing Epidemic sound membership so I will be saving $15 per month there. I am looking to add value to my own RU-vid videos and also commercial videos by using plugins like map generators and also stock footage etc etc. I edit on FCPX...any advice?.... Thanks man
Hey! Tough decision. As you do commercial videos as well, Artlist Max might be the way to go, as their assets are of slightly higher quality. However, it’s double price compared to Motion Array. Personally I prefer Artlist, but if price is a deciding factor, for only $5 more than your Epidemic Sound subscription you sure get a lot of value. Sorry if my answer has confused you even more. Hahaha! Let me know if you need more advice and remember to use my links to apply a discount to your subscription ;)
@@PaulHeimlund Hey man. Thanks for the reply. I have tried to look on Artist to see if they even have plugins for FCPX that I need but can't see. Do you know if they even have a map generator? for at the start of travel videos to show the journey for example? Thanks
@@AndrewMacdonaldPhotography I just checked both Artlist and Motion Array. It seems like only MA has proper map generators for FCPX. Artlist has some map stuff, but it's probably not what you're looking for. You'll find these under TEMPLATES on both platforms, not plugins.
I've already subscribed to Artlist only music and SFX Pro. But I need to Templates, footage and plugins, So i watched your video. Thx for this information. and I wanna ask u one thing. If I use stock photos more, then should i subscribe to MA? or Artlist max? Actually my mind move to Artlist max. But i usually use stock photos. so I confused that. Please let me know what is the best for me. Thank you.
Great video! But for the people that care most about plugins & presets, in that category there were some inaccuracies, Motion Array does feature plug ins for every program Artllist does and more, this is actually one of the strong suits of Motion Array and they should definitely have a point over Artlist Max here as they literally have the same templates, presets, plugins, but Motion Array has that plus a larger library along with great static and motion graphics.
Eventually the two services may merge into one if they figure out how to keep the budget conscious users from motion array but maintain the profit margin of artlist
Thanks for this video. Just used your link for Motion Array. I've been using Artlist for music only this past year and really like it. I was able to snagged Artlist Max for the last two months of my subscription at a prorated rate. While all the offerings are great, I really find myself only needing music and SFX. So the cost of Motion Array makes more sense for me.
Hey @PaulHeimlund I just switched over from Premiere to Resolve I was thinking about going with ArtlistMax for their Sound effects of course. And as far at templates and other things EnvatoElements instead of Motion Array. What are your thoughts let me know please?
Hey! Before Artlist and Motion array existed I used Envato a few times. However, I had problems with their licensing and haven’t used it for a few years now. Furthermore, the quality is very varied and for the price of a subscription with Motion array, I’d go with them. Remember that Motion Array also have sound effects. Maybe keep it clean and use only Motion Array? ;)
Just a piece of information: I read that Motion Array has been acquired by the Artlist team. If this is true I would be very confused about what to choose?
Artlist acquired Motion Array about a year ago and made it better. MA had a lot of old stuff and of lower quality. But now it’s really high quality. Both MA and Artlist are great tools, it’s up to you to decide which one suits you better ;)
