jojocgreen winter makes me depressed, especially living in the uk, rains everyday, gets dark at 4pm and when you do get to skate it's always really cold. Gets to the point that I start not enjoying skating lol

This is such a down-to-earth convo but he explains a lot of shit. Also that firecracker in the van....is that where the film "Grind" got that idea from? Arto's CKY video part is a classic for me. This guy goes down for one of the best styles in skating without looking too spider like. Also for those who's been on YT since it's launch, the very first blow up skate video part was from an unknown Finish kid. Anybody recall that video? Like literally search plainly "skateboard" and the top #1 result was a random finish kid like back in 2006/2007.

they definitely have accents normally even though their English is amazing considering it's not even their first language, but Arto has been living in the US for so long now so Iguess the accent naturally disappeared!

Yup. Still impressive. Finnish people are generally pretty bad speaking fluently other languages. For example hockey players and rally drivers

Sweden and Finland stress the learning of English, and are taught the proper accent/s (according to my buddy from Sweden at least who also speaks "American" English perfectly).

6tarmo I don´t agree! A friend of mine from Finland came to Venezuela to study her last year of high school and learned Spanish so fast that I could not believe it. I met her the very first day she arrived in the country and we both spoke English, as she did not even know how to say hello in Spanish at that moment and she went back to Finland with Spanish as her third language so I would say that learning other languages for europeans in general is very easy, since their countries share borders and that gives them to chance to hear a different language along with their native language. Arto has been in the US for about 15 years I would say so my English would be perfect as well if I were living in the US for more than 10 years taking into account that I have never been to an English speaking country and I do not have problem to see movies in English and the new on any English channel.

I'm sure hanging out with cali stoners for 20 years helps with the accent
