The Wally cap need the stem slot cut wider. We used cut it into a pizza slice or wedge shape. When spraying pulling it back allows for a direct flow into the secondary entry point on the spiral chamber. It's not uncommon to achieve a basketball size flare in zero wind conditions.

U should do some cap tests on rustoleum cans (with cap adapter if needed). Happy new year glad ur back g.

the one with the blue cap was on 99cent store powerhouse oven cleaners in the early 90s in l.a. - we loved them.

In Taiwan we have our own local brand known as P.P. spray paint, and the stock caps that come with them look exactly like jiffy caps. A quick look on your site confirmed that they're pretty much the same, with that little bit sticking out the side of the nozzle... The thing is, we can never get the lines like how you did with that jiffy cap- the lines we get have a width of around 2 fingers, and the borders of the lines are always frayed. Nobody except toys without caps use them, and if you take a look on the ground in the areas where writers piece, you can usually finds clumps of these stock caps next to cigarette stubs and other trash. Most writers just pop 'em off the can and replace them with their own caps...... Not really sure it they are the same cap in question though, but they look pretty damn alike. It might have something to do with the can pressure and shit, I wouldn't know about that stuff lol.

If that cap trick doesn't work and your clogged can is fully gummed up in the dip tube, you can use an eye dropper (small paintbrush, q-tip, etc) and fill the valve with acetone, xylol, toluol or other strong, oil based thinner. (do not use paint stripper or generic "paint thinner/mineral spirits") Work the solvent into the valve and apply more as it works into the dip tube. Sometimes you might have to let it simmer overnight. I've had cans where the valve won't even depress at first. I've saved first gen mega pigmented MTN 94 and Rusto from the 70's this way. the two cloggiest paints ever. The solvent will slowly break down the paint solids and eventually you'll get a nice working can again. Clearly it's a great idea to shake the can as much as possible during the process. The gummy paint solids at the bottom aren't going to agitate themselves and are more than happy to keep gumming up the works. The dip tube is a plastic straw, so if you can work the solvent into the pigment a little more by bending the tube with mixing balls and agitation, all the better. I use a small paint brush handle to depress and allow the solvent to get around the valve, but be careful. The reason I use a little paintbrush is because I don't want to stick a metal object in the valve and damage it. Spending all that time fixing a can only to have the valve leak every time you spray isn't a great success. Use gloves and safety glasses, because the paint can free up unpredictably and geyser out everywhere.

The Jiffy cap looks like the cap that comes on the gravy-scented spray bait stuff for catfish that you can get at Walmart.

The Wally-style was pretty common in New England during the 90's on graffiti remover sprays, but the jif-foam cap was pretty much non-existent. No contemoprary products were still using them as stocks. Back then there were two versions of the Wally, the black center and blue center. The black center was pretty much the same as a Lego cap, so if you want to do a 70's revival jam, use a Lego cap to outline and it'll be true to what the 70's guys were doing with found tips on Rusto or Red Devil, or a NY Thin on a high pressure can to replicate that Krylon feel. You'll need to shave the stem down to fit the euro valve.

That Jiffy cap has some weird results with other paints. On a MTN 94 it gives a super skinny & clean line. Also tried it on Montana black out & it was very skinny aswell. So various results depending on paint/pressure .

Jiffy Cap is one of my favorites on the Molotow. Really controllable and super easy to apply variable pressure

so... one time I had a similar issue with 'Evolve' paint.. the can was clogged no matter what cap I put on it. I was pissed because it was a really nice color. I private messaged an artist I'd seen working with the Evolve a lot when it first came out, and she gave me a pretty sweet tip.. first, you shake the fuck out of it.. then, you put a fat cap on it (like a euro or a Montana gold fat), turn the can upside down and smack it against the ground(depressing the valve).. works like a charm. I've used this trick multiple times successfully.. the shit in end of the valve was hard and caked in there, too.

So my data is low cuz I rock a prepay burner phone and I can only watch like 5 min at a time and then I have to let it load for another 10 min so it's like, 5 watch, 10 load, repeat. the good news is that I not only got thru this whole video, thumbs up, but I solved my rubix cube for the first time ever in the 10 minute loading periods... thank you art primo, this moment means so much to me haha btw needed the can unclog tip! thanks

Just a little side note too (around 5:00) talking about can temp: cold cans will clog up and jam caps, but hot cans will overspray. One of the first things I was ever taught for piecing was to keep cans well shaken and cool/room temp to avoid over spraying, keep lines clean, and to avoid fuckin up your caps and fingers. I got some of these w/ the Cap Matches Color book! Brought back memories of jacking caps off Jiff-foam! Loved em! I’ve had Ironlaks that clogged up immediately! Even after intense shaking! Brand-new cans! I’ve tried all kinds of fat caps to clear it... I’ll try this! I’ve got others that I painted with a little bit and I may have forgotten to flip them upside down and clear out the stem & nozzle - as you know Ironlak throws some plastic-like silky string out first!

After all these years.... still a HUGE fan of the Jiffy

I used to have that blue dot but it wAs red when I was a kid. It was a wide cap on the krylon can.

i got these a while back from cmc. the under side of these caps are the same as a nyfat... the stem goes into a wider cylinder before it turns to the dot insert. MEANING: you can do a sex change with these the same way you could with a nyfat. so you can use these on the new rusto male valves.

Yo GR you gotta do a new video with the jiffy cap. I just got it and threw it on flame blue and a rusto with an adapter and it's my favorite cap. I just feels like it sprays higher than other caps if you know what I mean. Otherwise a solid cap. Would love to see it back in a new vid!
