Arts Centre Melbourne has achieved a lot over the last financial year. That’s why we’re proud to share with you our Year in Review film, which visually showcases some of these key milestones over the last 12 months.
With more than 1,100 individual performances, there was something for every Victorian. This year we marked Hamer Hall’s 40th anniversary, we begun major construction on our Reimagining Arts Centre Melbourne project - a centrepiece of the Victorian Government’s Melbourne Arts Precinct Transformation - and saw Phantom of the Opera become our most-attended show of all time - an incredible achievement after a difficult couple of years for the performing arts.
As we look to the future, we will celebrate the 40th anniversary of our Theatres Building, see major works begin on the State Theatre, and continue to deliver remarkable performances with our long-standing resident companies, Melbourne Theatre Company, Opera Australia, The Australian Ballet and Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
We couldn’t have achieved all that we have without our incredible community. To each and every one of you, thank you for constant support and for being part of this exciting next step in our history.
