The disrespect Beterbiev gets is insane, people treat him like he’s just some slugger, his footwork is arguably as good as Bivols, he hits much harder, his punches are more accurate and he’s destroyed mutual opposition and beaten better opposition. He’s also got a much better amateur record and doesn’t coast. Bivol is going to get ripped to shreds unless Beterbiev looks old overnight.

Lionel Thompson who use to spar Beterbiev said it was one of the most physically painful things hes ever been through and he's been hit by a car 😂 guy has to hold back when sparring because he doesn't want to keep sending sparring partners home. Dangerous man who also has a great boxing brain, but Bivol is just a great fundamentally sound fighter who doesnt make many mistakes at all and from a technical ability hes probably one of the best out there.
I'm going to say Beterbiev KO's him early, i just don't think Bivol has a solid resume at LHW, the only true LHWs Bivol has fought are Joe Smith Jr and Joe wobbled him at one point. Betebiev has fought the better opposition in Callum Johnson, Marcus Browne, Anthony Yarde, Joe Smith Jr, Gvozdyk, Callum Smith - i can for sure say Beterbiev has the better resume. Yes, father time is undefeated, but you guys are grossly underestimating Artur and how he trains and lives. He's not a normal modern athlete. It's truly a lifestyle for him. The human body is capable amazing things if you literally dedicate your entire self to it. He's one of the very few that actually does AND he's naturally gifted to fight. For most fighters they are limited by something. Drugs, alcohol, fame, popularity, money, ego, growing out of "fighting for daddy," baby mama drama, violence outside the ring, and on and on. Now consider you have a truly generational natural talent who is limited by NONE of those things, is a highly devout believer in God and has an ingrained killer instinct. These are the combinations of things that distinguish him from all others. Plus his training. Seriously, go pull up his strength and conditioning videos and show me another fighter training harder in the gym. Doing exercises no other boxer is doing. He has a true passion for training while most fighters complain/brag about how hard it is. You can see you start to have the recipe for a Tom Brady like athletic career. He has taken very little punishment, and if you watch his boxing style, he doesnt rely on jerky frenetic movements to get the job done. Those are the fast twitch muscles that go first with age. Instead he relies on an almost judo like approach, using the opponents momentum against them, and only minimally exerting himself. He relies on timing and skill. The type of skill that can actually get better with time and practice, even with age. I really see no reason why this guy couldnt keep going until he's 45-46 or even beyond. Dont forget just 14 years ago Hopkins was a champ in this same division at age 51, and Beterbiev is 2 times better than Hopkins ever was, no question. The only variable really being if he continues to have the passion to do it, which doesnt seem to be fading as far as I can see. Most people just don't seem to understand. He's truly just a different animal than we are used to seeing. As far as the fight, it's all about styles, as usual. The in and out style predicates itself on rhythm and setting up the opponent's rhythm. Blair Cobbs had the best assessment I've heard so far of this fight: "Beterbiev don't need to be in rhythm to knock you out." So true. He doesnt lean back. He doesnt need to set his feet and position himself or turn his chest or his shoulders like a conventional boxer to throw. These are the technical cues Bivol relies on, and they won't be there. Bivol's style needs a dance partner. Most try to outdance him and just fail to keep up. Canelo didnt dance with him. He tried to sit in the pocket, but he had to back off because he didnt have the power or the size to make that strategy work. Beterbiev will. Canelo was also throwing from very conventional angles. Beterbiev won't. I think he stops Bivol in round 9-10 after Bivol runs for a few rounds and is finally caught and forced to engage. Once he does, his natural instinct will be to counter, and Artur will probably go over the top of the counter with a hook/cross hybrid to the side of the head (like he did in the Joe Smith and Gvozdyk fights) and it'll be goodnight Dmitri. 21-0 21 KO's and beyond for Beterbiev! I think he smokes Benevedez next. People don't realize we are seeing an all time great.
I agree with Andy that you would like to think that people’s perception of Whittaker will change with the more exposure they get to him because he seems sound but that would be an extremely un-British thing to happen

The bookies in UK across board make Bivol fav. Last week Bivol was 8/1 for ko, now price is 5/1. Someone knows something. If your so confident Barry why dont you back Artul at 5/4. If your so confident put a few grand on. I will tell you this, you'd pockets be empty after fight. Bivol stops him by round 9. Artul old legs wont last against the best defence in boxing. Artul has never been in with anyone as good as Bivol, this is new ground for him. Bivol been in with a master technical boxer and had him beat by round 7. All Canelo was doing after round 7 was in survive mode and took no risks as he knew he get knocked out. He went in against Bivol as 1/5 on fav, and in his mind he was going beat Bivol, was no doubt it was just is it by ko or points, by round 3 he knew he was beat. He never envisioned Bivol to be that good or he would never fought him. Yard had Artul in all sorts of problems, hurting him, ahe is 2 levels below Bivol. Only one who stands a chance against Bivol is Bendavidez. Spence was going pressure Crawford, put it on him, turned out to be Crawford easiest fight. Hardest punches are ones you cant see. Bivol has been UD-ing C-grade fighters, minus the exception of Canelo who isn’t a 175 fighter. Not sure where this hero worship comes from; he doesn’t have the power to hurt Beterbiev.

For 1punch power joesmith hits as hard as anyone, to take that shot on the temple and next round like it never happened + he took canelos uppercuts clean - he's hard as a coffin nail. He is a complete boxer with devastating power, a good counter puncher, and has very good footwork. Artur is a beast; as the fight progresses, he gets stronger. The pillow-fisted Bivol cannot withstand the pressure and power of Beterbiev. The moment he feels the pain, he will hesitate to throw punches and become more defensive, running like a chicken. Beterbiev will continue to smash him until he gets stopped in the later rounds. No one knows Bivol until he defeats the flat-footed, smaller Canelo. Beterbiev has already fought hundreds of (Soviet-style boxing) matches, the same style that Bivol, Gvozdyk, Usyk, and Lomachenko use.
