And this is why myself and many others have gravitated towards the ufc over the years. The sweet science will always be my true love, but the postponements, outright ducking, unworthy mandatories, and "letting the anticipation build" (aka one side waiting for the other to get older and fade) is killing this great sport. As boxing fans we get the matchups we really desire once a year on average. (Sometimes its a couple or a few times a year, sometimes its years apart) while the ufc is putting on quality matchups damn near every month if not every week. I miss the days when boxing was about puttimg the best vs the best. Win or lose, we respected and loved them for doing so. Nowadays in boxing its like you are a complete bum if you suffer one loss. That mindset needs to change.

This guy has over 300 amature fights and probably would've faced so many Bivols before he turned professional. I mean, his whole style is to counter the robbing judges. If this fight ever happens, which im starting to doubt, btw, im going with Bivol. The reason i pick Bivol, is his footwork ( along with his boxing & defense, of course). His footwork is going to save him from being swarmed and pummeled by Artur, & its going to wear AB down in mid to later rounds, where i think DB will take firm control. Thats my 2 cents, anyway🍻

I've been waiting for this fight for years now. I have had Artur Beterbiev winning since the possibility of this fight came up. I still have him winning this fight. By late KO maybe round 11 or 12. I'm so happy with boxing lately. The last 10 years have been super frustrating to us fans. Now that they're losing ground to MMA, they finally started putting on the big shows and taking risks. I love this!!!!!!!!!

It is going to be very hard to recover from a knee surgery for Beterbiev at this stage of his career. He is 39 already. This was probably the most exciting fight to be made right now. Too bad it won't happen any time soon.

I am MORE excited about this undisputed light heavyweight bout and card then the undisputed heavyweight card or fight

I agree with you generating the more versatile fighter always wins, but with a big puncher anything can happen so disappointing he was injured. It will happen, though. Beterbiev punching power is insane, nothing like Canelo. Beterbievs power is like a Heavyweight boxer. His sparring partners have described Beterbiev as a nightmare in sparring.

Sad this fight is postponed....if it does come to fruition in the very near future, i feel Bivol will win via points or even a TKO....he will definately have to keep moving after sticking multiple combos....get in, bang bang bang, get out otherwise he will go to sleep cause this Beterbiev, with those sledge hammer punches will do what he does best. I really like both these fighters and see no possibility for a draw which would actually suck if judged!!

Just like you, I’ve been back and forth, but I made the opposite journey, starting favouring Beterbiev and now picking Bivol. Bivol is such a good boxer with incredible ring smarts. I think Bivol might find new flaws in Beterbiev’s game, perhaps to the body. I’m going with what many deem unlikely, that Bivol stops Beterbiev, probably wearing him down to the body. I just think Bivol is such an incredible boxer and While Beterbiev is incredible in his own right, he does have more technical flaws, which a fighter like Bivol Will exploit. I may of course be wrong, but no matter who wins, this is an AWESOME fight!!!
