Floyd would have been a competitive match against any of the big 4, well only 3, Mayweather would have never gone up to mw to fight Hagler, but he could have match vs Sugar Ray, Duran or Hearns... Sugar Ray beat up his dad, Duran was a monster @ lightweight and Hearns was huge for Welterweight...
I feel like Joyce wins this, but I don't think it will be an easy one. Both of these fighters I think we can all agree have their best years behind them and have probably peaked. Whichever fighter loses this will most likely be seriously considering retirement, as I imagine Deontay Wilder is now as well.
Joe Joyce's stock is weak and if he was to fight Joseph Parker and Daniel Dubois in rematches, I feel strongly they would win those rematches over Joyce. Both are younger and both men have greatly improved there gameplay and ring experiences. He won't get past Oleksandr Usyk, Anthony Joshua or Tyson Fury. He will also likley not get passed contenders like tricky southpaw Otto Wallin or Frank Sanchez or Jared Anderson, so the window oppertunities are very slim to get back to the top.
Joyce had ZERO head movement when he fought Zhang. He just ate punches in both fights until he got stopped. I don’t think Joyce is anything more than a walking punching bag
I'm English and have very little interest in this fight because Chisora is more of a mobile punch bag these days and Joyce has been exposed but maybe able to knock over an opponent that suits his style. What I want to know is what has happened to the American heavyweights? Is there no interest in this division stateside?
I don't think Joyce will have too much trouble with Chisora's general style except for the pressure that Derek is capable of inflicting, plus his general toughness. I favour Joyce to win by late stoppage.
This is a hard fight to call. I don't think Joyce has the power to put Chisora down, and a lot depends on how much time has passed between the two boxers. If Joyce can get the punches in and keep Joyce back, I think he wins, but his defence is poor, and Chisora will just try to walk him down the entire fight. I have a feeling Chisora might win, but this is a 50/50 fight.
I actually agree with you, Joyce looked terrible against Kash Ali, was at a career heaviest weight, and still got hit a lot. And if anything was slower than he normally is. I like Chisora for the upset as well!!!
I like both of them and I like this fight. Obviously, both are past their prime and the fights against Zhang took a lot from Joyce. True, he will have to perform a lot better against Chisora as he was still far from his old self against Kash Ali. I also tend to go with Chisora on that one but although slow, Joyce is still powerful and could send Chisora to the canvas if he catches him with a clear punch. Looking forward to this one.
Chisora is definitely going to find the mark with the overhand right, but hes going to be eating ramrod jabs all night. Height, power and gas tank give this one to Joe I reckon
Chisora could win simply bcos Joe's defence is his head lol doesn't evade punches. Which is very bad by his trainer. Big bang proved that twice against him. I like Joyce but using your head as defence is so bad. Chisora is such a fighter, I think he should call it a day and retire, but he is up for fighting anyone. And being paid good money is prob why he hasn't retired. I hope he doesn't get hurt badly that then ends his career
YESSSS Rummy! I wholeheartedly love that you do preview and predictions on a a larger aspect of the heavyweight scene, not just the top 5 or the title fights. I remember putting a comment months or even over a year ago asking for more top 10-15 HW previews and predictions, and my wish was fulfilled. please keep it up! love your videoes and always watch them as soon as I have time after the notification pops up. I too believe this will go down to Chisora's overhand right. I believe it will land, it's just a matter of if Joyce can take it.
