Some nice presets, no doubt your playing ability really helps paint it in a good light.

Thanks for watching, and I'm glad my playing helped demonstrate these well. I always wonder about that, so it's good to know that it's hitting the mark.

And thanks for checking out this video. There were so many great presets that it could have been triple the length. Such good stuff in here.

beautiful and relaxing playthrough! Really cool synth. I have way too many synths already but this is very tempting! 💙

Hey Mellow Fellow! Great to hear from you again! I should probably be playing something more energetic and aggressive, but I can't help making any sound become more on the tender side. And honestly, I feel the same way about synths, but Pigments is pretty special. Took me a long time to figure that out, but glad i have it now.

@@ThisIsOnesto how do you think it compares to Serum? I think what's stopped me from buying it is the fact that it reminds me so much of Serum which was my first Vst synth and I almost completely stopped using since I started getting analog emulations (diva, repro, etc) so I don't want to make the same mistake again..

@@HumanBeingWithFeelings that's a great question. I almost made a video about that. If I had to give serum a grade it would be an A-, while Pigments would get an A. It's not better by a mile, but I do find Pigments to be a little better at Serum in everything. The trouble is that Serum has so many resources behind it like preset packs, tutorials, masterclasses. Not to mention a lot of us have learned how to use serum already so why jump ship to something that's just a little better. I will say that the learning curve for pigments is surprising not too bad. The workflow and UI is great, and I really think I'm gonna switch over to pigments for good. You might be interested in pigments because it covers all your synthesis modes like subtractive, wavetable, sample, granular, and even additive. All that is in one synth which is crazy. Oh and the effects in pigments are really really good. So that's kind of my take on pigments so far. Hope that helps!

@@ThisIsOnesto of course it helps, thanks! I also own omnisphere so that makes it even more difficult for me to convince myself I need pigments haha. Cheers Onesto!

Nice walkthrough - thanks. However, I have just bought Pigment 5 (did not have Pigment earlier) and some of the presets you show, I can not find there ( eg. A personal Voyage, Ayran Flytes) - why is that? Shouldn't they also be in newer versions?

can we keep the old pigments 2 preset sounds with this version?
@ThisIsOnesto
@ThisIsOnesto 2 месяца назад
You sure can. There are legacy presets from Pigments 2, 3, and 4 inside of Pigments 5.

Thx a lot mate! Are they all the free stock presets?

I believe they all are! There's a chance that I used a couple of presets that came from free preset packs that came with Pigments.
