@Christina Reynolds not entirely correct. You much often will hear "I sense the smell" than "I hear the smell". The use of "hear" is colloquial and still sometimes used, but it dies out slowly. I can't really remember someone under 40 years old who used "hear" instead of "sense". In print and on tv you won't hear the "hear", they all use stylistically neutral "sense", maybe only for portrayal of particular characters, that's it.
KURTA not Estonia I know someone who is Estonian and they have a way different accent, either he doesn’t live in Estonia, he moved to Estonia, or he is not russian
In russian, its actually correct if you say "can you hear the smell" or "He can hear the smell" Boris might have said it intentionally or perhaps not, I sometimes confuse my russian grammar with my english and i say some dumb shit if said in russian would make sense but sounds idiotic in english.
Dear Artyom, Salute to you comrade cat and greatest wishes to you and happy birthday! Glad that you have an amazing hooman Boris to take good care of you. Thank you comrade Boris for being good responsible hooman for Artyom.
Fun fact: the old slavic verb "čuti" is the initial word for sensing something independent of the sensory organ. Somehow in serbocroatian "čuti" became primarily "passivly hearing" but can also be used for "smelling". The verb for active hearing is "slušati" which is the same for russian. But now I see that in russian you can use exactly this verb "hearing" for sensing smell. wtf is going on?
It was a literary norm in the past,but not now. It is used as a professional slang these days amongst a very small group of people,but common people don't use,if they are literate.
@@demonfedor3748 always heard it's a proper way to say "hear the smell". Idk if now its equal to the "ship" or "painting" argues. Корабль плывет или идет? Картину рисуют или пишут? Так-то рисуют, но вообще-то пишут.
Pro Tip: When placing your cat in a transport device, it helps to insert the cat backwards. If the cat cannot see his destination, his anxiety decrease many times.
You see to the untrained eye, he seems like the cutest thing ever, but ah ah to a trained slav vision you see ruthless defender of motherland Still the cutest thing but also so much more
To help with the crate, feed Artyom in his carrier. We do that for our cats, helps a fair bit, though they sometimes still won't go in anyway cause they are American cats and they demand pay for every simple task. So it goes.
As someone with an "artyom" of my own, I can confirm. They have a mind of their own. They love cuddles and playing, but only when they want. Happy birthday, comrade cat ;-;
Its soo nice and heart warming to see the progression of Artyom's growth. I had to come back after watching Boris' video for his little kitty's 3rd birthday
I don't know what I expected, but I was surprised when his cat had a nice normal cute meow. I think I was expecting him to say "meow" in a deep slavic accent
Artyom looks exactly like my deceased cat, he was also a comrade and his name was Stalin. This video makes me feel less sad, please give him a lot of cuddles since I cant do it anymore. Lot of kisses from Spain. Happy bday artyom ♥️
You see this why I appreciate Boris and his random upload times, I was in the middle of an online class bored but then I hear my gopnik notification go off and I see this.
I used to have a cat that looked just like artyom. I got him when he was 2 yrs old and he was my world. Not a day goes by where I don’t think of him. Seeing artyom is both a happy and sad moment for me, artyom is so cute and happy with boris, he’s grown up so much as well :) but I’m sad because I’ll never get to celebrate my cats birthday as well. If I knew then what I know right now I wouldn’t have taken things for granted.
