Nice trap but you can use a large bear trap in the center and leave one side open without the railings and then place them when it gets trapped. Much more efficient and reliable. You could also just use pillars now for the trap. Nothing else is needed since pillars can be placed horizontally now.
Trapping just become more Brown Trouser terrifying, the Yuti chasing you, had me on the edge of my seat. Looks like you could do with a few more floaty ramps, I'd be happy with just 2 sides, in and out.
I've found that ramps work ok-ish if there's no foundations underneath them. I have a small yard of pillars with pillars supporting a three wide ramp from the sides. Rexes seem to have no issue. This trap however is pretty dope ngl
Great ideas. I love when a RU-vidr puts in time and effort into ark "science". Though the trap keeps the dino, getting them in is a pain. Comparing this struggle of getting dinos in vs. Beartrap and billboards makes the choice easy. I would still take option 2. How about placing three foundations and triangle sloped roofs around the railings? I would still use this trap for bigger and faster creatures like allos, spinos and gigas or for a taming spree like the 30 Theris you can tame on Gen2 (ASE) simultaneously 😂
Hey bro, I tested your trap, it works, but I can improve putting two triangles instead of one. One from the foundation and other from the wall. This way, dinos does not glitch at the top! Thanks!
This is a great and interesting trap, but i wonder why you dont also snap 2 more triangle ramps to the side of each ramp you already use, inverted of course They still wouldnt touch the walls etc, but they would be considerably wider to get the creatures into the trap In fact i imagine you could make each ramp 5 wide The only downside would be carrying all those extra parts, but a lot less time running around it trying to get the creatures in
Wild Dino AI in ASA makes them avoid gates. You can still do it if you bear trap then plop the gates down before the trap breaks but it’s not the easy button anymore.
they get stuck floating sometimes... i wonder if you could do that. i would try but im streaming a challenge to complete every boss and map ase so i can "ascend" to the new game, on xbox. its brutal. but it seems turning radius and agro can get them to go just far enough. i like the new ai. and thank you for the vid. like and sub as always. i didnt even plug myself. take care bud
No, it's about the design. No stone trap can work for gigas because it will destroy it. This design won't keep a giga trapped for long even it's made with metal.
hi, from a pvp player : no trap are needed in asa just wear primitive flak, find a cliff,a ledge, a corner, get graple .. thats it. the wild dino will always come back to you, u will always find it back near. as long as u kill what can kill this dino before or have a prim shotgun to do so, u cant miss a single tame in the island, this map is absolutely garbage and so the IA in asa. we tamed over 1000 dinos this way in official pvp smalltribes, u dont need any sort of trap, even for gigas.and if so , do 4billboard or gate, gg. np
You should probably show your Taming-Structure in "ARK Survival Ascended" instead of "ARK Survival Evolved". Your Graphics suck when compared to ASA, and THAT MAP IS NOT YET INCLUDED IN ASCENDED. @@Frederic_104 It’s actually Svartalfheim. He shows it in the top left corner of the video. Fjordur isn’t on ASA yet. (The same creator did make them both though)
