In almost 12 years of youtube, I have never commented on a performance. I love you Asaf, you are and you will aways be my favorite. You taught me how to live WITH and not against the darkness in life such as loss and grief and betrayal. I believe that this singer Asaf Avidan from Israel is the best unique voice I ever heard in my life . He is the real singer singing from hearth not need any great flashy look and ...... just giving you pure talent and feelings . I played this video on the Birthday of my best Friend "by mistake". She died at the Age of 34 and I thought "lets hear a sad song we both liked" but ... this now hits me hard. It was always a song about lost for me too, even in the part of my live where she still lived. But now he connects it to today perfectly. I was in tears in about seconds after "for me its a Song about lost". Thank you for your words and for giving my thoughts a voice that I never could. thanks a lot. :_(

In those 13 minutes you took me on a ride through the mountains of joy, and then straight down to the valleys of guidance to then put me into the caverns of loss, so deep that I couldn't make a sound but a screech. And when I gaped with my mouth wide open in cry of pain, it became lighter with every second, with every sound my eyes kept weeping like waterfalls full of ocean water. And after that I was empty, and full again, revigorated, like a child who just jumped into the mountain lake by that waterfall... and it's waters refreshed me and thus katharsis was complete. YT algos have some wild wisdom. I've never heard of this song or artist until today and, OMG, this is SO much. Learning to love my grief [but not cling to it], to make space and appreciate its reason and space in my life has been one the most difficult of lessons. This encapsulates a beautiful vastness yet intimate longing that is hard to nail. TYSVM.

One of my favorite songs ever, this song got me through high school when I was struggling with anxiety, I think it helped me "zoom out". I was even singing it to myself before a test to calm myself and the teacher found it amusing.

@@lauragonsalez8655 seh, más que la historia que cuenta, que de por sí es bastante triste y la cuenta de una forma poética, es cómo se siente lo mucho que le duele y es inevitable llevar esa historia a los recuerdos propios, el cómo fue ese encuentro con alguna persona a la que no vimos más nunca. Asaf es maravilloso, en su canción Lost Horse también cuenta, pero por escrito, el origen de la canción y al igual que está es tristisima

This recording floors me. Ive listened to this song since high school. It does make me think of someone. I listened to it at one point in the "hopeful" sense, and at another with the sense of loss. Honestly back and forth between the two. This particular recording had me bawling. I don't want to be with him. I don't even miss him. I haven't in a long time. I love my life now. But I can still feel those emotions.

It took me 10 years, till I saw this video, and he explained that this is a song about loss, and elaborated on that so deeply. to finally get the emotions he felt when he wrote the refrain, and I can sing it from the same place he sings it from. So heartfelt and healing.
