Lol there are plenty out there, check out Konvent from Denmark, they are cool, I almost became their drummer a couple years back but decided to stand down for an elligeble woman to keep it all women band.
ASAGRAUM are : 1. Hanna Van Den Berg (Screams & Guitars),,, from netherland 2. Veronica Setterhall (Guitars),,, from sweden 3. Henriette Bordvik (Bass),,,,, from norway 4. Sandra Henny (Keyboards),,, from switzerland 5. Amber De Buijzer (Drums),,,, from netherland
hoe zit t precies, ik lees dat ze oorspronkelijk uit Finland komen en nu gevestigd zijn in Holland...maar volgens jouw line-up zit er geeneens 1 Fin bij 🤔....ps i hope they write their own stuf, i mean that its not writen by a male person...that would ehh kindof makes it deseptive imo
@@georgedejongveg Hanna is Asagraum.
@@pappadieter3506 you may have seen her other smiles later in this live recording, and they do seem triumphant or like to me, thus pretty much in line with black metal attitude :)
This is so rare. A female heavy metal band that just does its thing without trying to appeal to the masses through other ways. Much respect and don't you dare to ever change.
its rare cause its like 3 out of 10 females in the world who probably actually like this music. i see a lot of people wearing metal outfits online but its just cosplay
No better genre for women than black metal. Make up, dress up, high pitch vocals and excellent musicians. Awesome thanks for the post much appreciated.
Sure, I think Black metal has an intrinsic female energy. Christianity has always related femininity with the devil, so that could explain why black metal and women go so well together.
Lead/Singer is from Nargaroth as well. So, this band is not only old school, it has it's roots from the good times. Just look for the video: " Nargaroth - Seven Tears Are Flowing To The River - Chile 2015 " She is right there in the video.
Sometimes I think about how this is the evolutionary result of bands like Alice Cooper and Black Sabbath. How far we've descended into darkness, it's beautiful.
@@mantelmann13 No. As I mentioned, it is such a Male dominated genre and it is good to see the Girls having a crack at it, and doing it really well. Sorry, I don't know how to make that any more clearer to understand.
"in such male dominated Genre" looks like a lesson in political correctness... Yes man, it's very nice to have an all female black metal band, but write it without the above sentence, because it will look like a BBC article promoting their agenda.
@@darwinism14 That may be how you interpreted my comment, by the looks of it. The fact is, Black Metal IS a Male dominated Genre like it or not and I think it is wonderful to see these Girls doing a great job at what is mostly performed by Men. It's not a comment that is ment to insinuate hate, or political correctness, or any negative rubbish like that. I think if anybody thinks that, then maybe they need to stop trying to read between the lines and take it as it is, and enjoy the music they have made. Instead of trying to correct an encouraging comment.
@@jairocardoso9109 And they are way, WAY too hard in the mix .... on the albums, there's only a sporadic and spartan use of keys - in the background. I guess they feel more comfortable with additonal dark, menacing keyboards to back them up on stage ....
wow, really fuckin good. traditional/original. epic. no silly corny shit. great riffs. great vokills. never heard of them somehow. the bass player has a fantastic snear. I approve.
This was my intro to this band then i went and listened to the actual albums and for the first time in my 20 years of metal i was disappointed that the keyboards were actually not used there.
Noticed they arnt picking as fast so maybe they have her there strictly so they don't have to tremolo pick everything the whole song. As a black metal singer and guitarist I can tell you it starts hurting real fast when you sing and try to focus on where your picking hand is
I listened black metal from 12 years old today i 29 alnd i think this my favourite, after album, good for you girls ! Don't spit up please , i really need bands like that , 2019 best albums ever! Heil Satan! Heil Black metal!!! Heil ASAGRAUM!
It's pretty much a solo project. The vocalist (Obscura) is pretty much the one writing and recording everything. With help of the drummer. Used to be a project of two but not for the past album atleast.
With this band apparently everything is inverted: 1. Cross inverted 2. Gender inverted 3. The bassplayer moves around, while everyone else stands still 🤪😝🤣
