Fibreglass

In western countries asbestos has been banned to trade and/or use in new projects since 1990 already, so there is no need to ask for an alternative material to prevent deaths. It’s just a matter of cleaning up what’s left in society.

@@gareththompson9540 Fibreglass burns really easy. It’s a good solution but aside of asbestos being deadly it had great characteristics.

@@Engineer9736 Fiberglass is made out of glass or quartz which is a mineral and it melts more than burns. And asbestos is still used today in 2022 as it's never been banned completely. This video is very basic and I'm looking for a more detailed video on analyzing asbestos. I just want to review the procedures for kicks. I use to do this type of work in a NVLAP certified lab and took a course in asbestos bulk sampling and analysis down at the University of Alabama Birmingham 30 years ago. I forgot most of what I learned but with a quick review it will all come back to me. BTW that was Chrysotile Asbestos in a RI liquid of 1.550.

Now we use fiberglass, mainly.

You should report them to the EPA immediately. That is a serious health hazard that you might have to get checked out. Also go read up on lead containment RRP rules and get pictures of everything.

@@georgefallon I'm sorry about your father, m8. I can relate. All the boomers 60's in my family are having similar trouble. Only thing I can see so far is they didn't eat in moderation like their parents, who passed in their late 90's. Overdoing sugar, dairy, and carbs needs to be considered. Good luck, try not to stress out too much while forging ahead. Live long and well, m8.
