What I wouldn't give to go back in time and just take it all in, sit on a bench watching everything while I'm having an ice cream 🍦 from Kohrs best ice cream I have ever had
@@millerst16 ummmmm no its not. it was sad in the 70s - early 2000s. but it has undergone massive revitalization in the past 20 years and is one of the top boardwalks / beach towns again in NJ
I rode my bicycle to work as a waitress on the boardwalk. The concerts included Blondie and Blue Oyster Cult and so many others. Asbury was a thriving, exciting place to be.
the problem with Asbury park now, .... it is a sad depressed place. All the fun is missing. The days of it being a FUN resort, like in the clip) are missing. The city needs to rebuild it back to what it was.. not some dull place, no excitement, no rides, no thrills, the heart and soul are long gone now.. RIP Asbury park, (and beaches need to be FREE ACCESS)
Good Day. I was under the impression that Asbury Park has become a hot spot for shore excursions. Compared to what it was 20 years? ago. As for building. Seems like real estate prices have increased rather then decrease. A trend the town surely needed. But then again, I do not live there. My memories are from a by gone era. Thank you for your reply. 👌
