aca hurricane in darien : its a normal day oh great my blower broke oh well WAIT NO I DONT WANNA GET REPLACED AA- t-128 in darien: its normal day right oh no THE BATTERY-
Siren: ok time for me to make sure i work, hey batteries, its time for the siren test, Batteries: Man F*#& your damn test! BOOOOOOOM! Siren: well s#&#! Hey NWS im broken now!
@@oakcreekrailroadproduction3907 I bet man t128 sirens burn through so fast o have one near me and it died only after 5 months of installation that’s why the thunderbolt siren is the best
I’d be very careful filming those sirens because I’ve been investigated before by police asking me what’s my interest in those sirens and why do I film them
There's nothing illegal about it unless you're trespassing on someone's private property. Whatever your interest is in recording sirens isn't the polices business.
Yeah well people don't understand that most of these are radio controlled and there have been numerous attempts in the county itself because I live in the county and that specific system was targeted a few times via somebody with a radio trying to trigger them that's why they beefed up security and what not so that's why I'm telling people just to back off with that and if you do have a radio with you leave it in the car don't do anything with that when doing siren filming because the last thing you need is somebody to accuse you of setting off the sirens especially if you have a radio and it's never a good outcome I've been there done that and I'm not doing that anymore I quit filming sirens this County sucks because of the fact that they're all going ape shit over this setting off the sirens with a radio type thing ever since idiots kept on screwing around with them it's just gotten worse
Bruh these sirens are not even 30 years old and are breaking already, Literary every older sirens are in their 60s and 70s even their 80s and their 90s heck even 100 and are still working What type of downgrade was that?!
sooooo, if i see smoke coming out of the battery compartment on the siren near my house, i can assume it wont work if the electrical power fails? Maybe i shouldnt call the village if that ever happens, nobody in my neighborhood would either, they absolutely hate that 🔈🔉🔊🔉🔈😵😨😱❗
@@oakcreekrailroadproduction3907 not the one near my house, it works, the one where the battery let all its smoke out. You wouldnt happen to be a CNW railfan? I had 4th & 5th cousins that worked for CNW out of South Pekin Illinois!
@@oakcreekrailroadproduction3907 well, i couldnt help but notice your thumbnail has the CNW herald, (even though its slightly modified), and i wasnt really into CNW until i found out through geneaology about those distant cousins. But now, since CNW has been a part of Union Pacific since the 1990s, its pretty much history, aside from an occasional freight car still in CNW paint. I didnt have an interest in tornado sirens, until the town i live in put one up about 200 feet from my house, (ASC T-128), and i can hear that blasted thing with all my windows & doors closed & locked, and both my hearing aids out, on test day, or whenever they have to blare it. My nextdoor neighbor works nights, and when they blow it on test day, he says he would love to shoot its brains out.
