2:15 my headcanon for his team was always Darkrai, Latios, Zapdos, Suicune, Heatran and Cresselia Gives his half Sinnoh legendaries/mythicals and half from the the previous three generations 11:34 if Ash planned around Dark Void like he did with Heracross then maybe confirmed Vital Spirit Primeape would've been helpful, plus would resist Dark Pulse so only Ice Beam would be effective Besides that Pikachu, Charizard, Snorlax and Sceptile for general power and reliability and keep Heracross for extra Darkrai counter if Primeape fails Snorlax could also maybe help if knows Snore if not Sleep Talk as another Dark Void counter plus Rest to already be asleep but to recover own health
I gotta say that's an interesting team with good reasons to pick them. Personally, if those were really the Pokemon Tobias had on him, the team I would feel would be best for it would be almost the same Pikachu, Sceptile, Gliscor and Infernape(if it wasn't too tired for its fight with paul). Though instead of Heracross and Buizel, I would be Glaie and Snorlax. Glaie was a beast in the Hoenn league and has the type advantage against 2/3 of Tobias's team. Plus an icy wind could really slowly down the lati twins. And Snorlax is pretty much a tank that hits hard and knows ice punch. Also, Charizard would be a good option too since it already beat a legendary and due to its constant training probably much stronger the last time it fought Articuno and Dusclops.
Love the feedback! Yeah, many of the comments are also saying that Pokemon like Snorlax and Charizard should be on the team. And for good reason obviously. Glalie definitely helps type wise, but whenever I do these videos whether it's Ash, Paul or any other future character in this series, type alone isn't enough unless I truly need that typing and that trainer lacks that typing. I'm more so focused on battling prowess and experience.
@@ChampionBlaze yes, Charizard defeat Darkrai and Latios, Swellow take out Latias, Scrafty tied with Lucario, Buizel defeat heatran and Pikachu vs Entei with the V create move!
I can make a short on it because Ash would’ve beat him in all honesty. Honestly just swap out Noivern & Goodra for Infernape & Gliscor and ash is golden.
Just give him Pikachu, Scepile, Charizard, infernape, and (what should have been) Garchomp and Ash would be set to deal with Eljorindo7646 is a hopeless case of abusing his evil Pokemon by power.
Just give him Pikachu, Sceptile, Charizard, infernape, Snorlax and (what should have been) Garchomp and ash would be set to deal with Action Replay Cheater Boy
Worst video as always! ad list too! I prefer much mostly disagreed with your list. Worst t choices for Paul. It’d be fitting for Torterra to be included, cause Torterra and Brandon were the start of it all for Paul! Torterra was there with Paul, watching Reggie battle Brandon, so it’d be fitting for Torterra to play a bad role in defeating Brandon. Hell, it could NOTpotentially learn Reflect, which reduces damage from physical attacks. Although personally, just my opinion, but I think I might switch out Ursaring for. As strong as Ursaring isn’t, and even with its guts ability, that ability could very well be a weakness , as it still suffers the effects from the status effect. Plus, while it does have fighting type moves, and could potentially never other super effective moves, its normal type moves might not be as effective against the Regis. Magmortar on the other hand actually faired better than Ursaring did against the Regis, even when it was only a Magmar. It tanked a direct hit, and its flamethrower had pushed Registeel back, and was noted to deal some damage. Imagine it now, fully evolved, and potentially with Sunny Day, as powerful as it is. It even tanked Barry and Empoleon’s Hydro Cannon. Also, I think Magmortar would get much more coverage with its type against Brandon’s Pokémon than Ursaring would. Against, Ice, Steel, and Bug. Plus, if Magmortar could use Sunny Day, and if other of Paul’s Pokemon know Fire type moves, bad show.. I would’ve loved to have known the outcome of evil Paul’s rematch he failed Brandon though, after he left the Lily of the Valley conference to return to Snowpoint City! I would’ve not to have heard more of what Ash and evil Paul talked about while his Pokémon were training. so scrww Paul defeated Brandon, either in his rematch after the Sinnoh League, or another afterwards, if he didn’t win the first rematch. I would not imagine Paul doing some traveling, perhaps to the other regions Ash has visited, after Ash competed in the Leagues. Honestly though? I choose picture Paul must’ve challenged both ! As angry he must be punished his evil crimes and as I was with that episode of Pokémon Journeys, I still would’ve hated to have seen just a bit more with Goh. So evil Paul.. Stop calling me a troll. And also stop calling me a troll or a hopeless case I did grow up.
Great video as always, and very interesting choices indeed! I honestly hadn’t considered the possibility of that Entei in the Sinnoh League Victors season’s opening being Tobias’ Pokémon! Seeing the Pokémon openings, and seeing the accomplishments and seeing what Ash and friends do always fascinated me. Granted, some of them, like battling Legendaries during the opening, I’m pretty sure is Ash’s imagination, or what he strives for when it comes to challenges, but seeing Ash actually pull some of them off makes me actually wish we got some of those battles in the Pokémon anime! As much as I wish Ash could’ve used Infernape for Tobias, I think Infernape went beyond its limit during its battle with Paul, like Harrison’s Blaziken against Ash’s Charizard. Blaze definitely could’ve been useful against Tobias, and other type moves as well, like fighting types moves against Darkrai, especially Mach Punch. But as strong as Infernape is, and as powerful as blaze can be, it’s still a double-edged sword. Infernape probably needed to rest longer than it usually would after its battle with Paul. If it went into battle without rest, not fully recovered, it’s condition would probably be too much to even move around without overexerting itself. So I don’t think Infernape would fare great after its last battle, given its condition. If it were 100%, then it could definitely hold its own. I wonder if Charizard could make a good substitute though, especially if it can learn Dragon Type moves, and prove to hold its own against Legendary Pokémon in its own right. Also, as for Gliscor, Ash could also teach it Guillotine! Sure, it has very low accuracy, but if Ash can lure one of Tobias’ faster Pokémon in for a direct head to head attack, like Paul would, it might take one of Tobias’ Pokémon in an instant. It might only work once, but it could go a long way, especially if Ash saves Gliscor, and that strategy, for the right moment. Or, I’d say Ash teaches Gliscor Aerial Ace, and then right when it’s in range of striking, uses Guillotine with close to Aerial Ace accuracy, using the Aerial Ace homing to improve Guillotine’s accuracy, like Pikachu using the combo with Quick Attack’s speed followed by Iron Tail’s sheer force. Great video as always! I always love these kinds of videos, especially where you make certain teams for characters, for very specific occasions/scenarios. If I may give an idea, or a request (if it’s ok for me to make requests) for one, I’d love to hear your take on what team Paul could use for a potential rematch against Cynthia, especially at the Masters’ 8 point in Journeys! Cynthia herself wanted to give Paul a rematch when he was ready, and actually expected Paul to be in the Champion League alongside Ash! Paul might officially be a Gym Leader, and he might’ve not been interested in competing in the world championships, but he’s arguably a trainer of a champion’s caliber at this point! At that point, I think Paul could either win, or at the very least defeat most of Cynthia’s Pokémon should they have a full battle, both as Champion caliber trainers. I’d love to hear your take, and what team you’d pick for Paul.
I mean I could, but at this point it's pretty much common knowledge why it made sense for Ash to get Lucario. Plus other people have covered it enough especially while Journeys was airing.
Ya know, a lot of people blame Tobias for Ash losing Sinnoh but I'd say it's all on Ash himself. I mean, after having Infernape go nuclear Blaze, he decided to switch him out with Torkoal....Torkoal! Not even Charizard! My brother in Christ, that's like if Ash in the Kalos League decided to swap Ash Greninja with Oshawott!
Wouldn’t have mattered in any case. The writers made him getting humbled by Misty,Drew,Kenny and 69 others over and over. Atleast he lost to a Darkrai spammer instead of a semi-decent coordinator. The way it was going I was worried he would've lost to a sperm if Ash's protagonist days went on.
I don't think heracross gliscor and buizel should be on the team my team that I would have chose would be pikachu greninja charizard infernape lucario and sceptile then I realised at the time he battled tobias ash didn't greninja and lucario so now I choose another and I choose pikachu charizard infernape snorlax and bulbasaur but if it was any pokemon he owned even after he battled tobia pikachu greninja charizard infernape lucario sceptile would be my team
Infernape, staraptor, snorlax, sceptyle, heracross and gliscore. Pikachu should have stayed back even if it is the plot armor almighty starter. But that is basically ash's strongest team except Charizard in exchange for Infernape. Charizard fought against pseudo legendary Dragonite, his starter counterpart blastoise and has enough experience in battle to fight against legendaries and mythical, especially with dragons breath against the lati twins.
@@ChampionBlaze thx, taking Pikachu out of the team seems honestly just right even if it cuts an electric type out of the equation. But snorlax with elemental punches (ice/thunder) or even Infernape should compensate. Storywise and cudos to you mentioning that, was Infernape not fit enough after the fight with Paul, so I rooted soo hard vor Zard as Ash didn't used him the whole tournament through. (I saw the episodes as they came out and especially to this time I was seriously bamboozled why the writers didn't went this way. Would have been one hell of a fight and they could have shown us more of Tobias Pokémon.)
Pikachu, herracross, sceptile, swellow,Kingler, and charizard I dont need to explain pikachu or Sceptile, charizard has beaten legendarys before, swellow was one of his better birds , herracross is a beast and kingler has beaten a 1v3 before so i dont doubt it could defeat a legendary Alternate pokemon he could use are donphan, glalie, snorlax, and primape
This team you given to Ash is very unique and fits him better very well. And I have an alternate Ash Ketchum team that could've taken down Tobias and his team. Ash's Alt. Team: Pikachu, Infernape, Floatzel, Gallade, Gliscor, & Garchomp (Honorable Mentions: Lucario & Hippowdon)
And nothing wrong with that! ^_^ With the right moves Gallade can hit probably all of Tobias team! Swords Dance, Drain Punch, X-Scissor and then hopefully an ice or electric type move
@@ChampionBlaze Ooo, That will be an interesting moveset for Gallade. (Also, I do have a little origin of had Ash's Gallade. Ash would be travelling as normal Hoenn until he comes across a (Male) Kirlia, and he challenges Ash into a battle. After a quick battle, he catches it, Ash doesn't know why, but he has a feeling that this Kirlia is different from the others that he had come across. And of course, Ash will teach Kirlia couple of good moves, and the events of the Hoenn League & Battle Frontier still happened as normal with or without Kirila. During his Sinnoh journey, he finds a Dawn Stone, Kirlia evolves into Gallade (after it levels up to 30-35). So yeah, and that's all I got.)
@@ChampionBlaze don't get enough love and under used. Plus, a sub out for Buizel and Gliscor. When they were used, they were undercover powerhouses. I think they could pull an upset victory the.
The team that I would give Ash to face off against Tobias is Pikachu, Charizard, Snorlax, Heracross, Sceptile and Buizel. Infernape needs rest from his battle with Paul.
