Ash vs Paul: Pokemon Anime Theme Battle #2! This is the second video in a new series, where my good friend MandJTV Pokevids and I will have Pokemon Sun and Moon WiFi battles reenacting classic Pokemon battles from the Pokemon Anime. This one will be the famous 6v6 match in the Sinnoh League of Ash Ketchum vs Paul. Will it go similarly to how it did in the anime? Watch to find out! I take this as proof that Paul should have won. For the next match do like: Ash vs Drake (Orange leauge Champion), Ash Vs Harrisson (Jotho league) or Ash vs Alain (Kalos league)

This is the type of thread I was looking for, ash is way more experienced in battling, may not always be the best but he does have skills. And as Mike was saying the anime is more "realistic" because you can do stuff to get rid of the toxic spikes instead of "oh let me just toss all my stupid Pokemon onto these poison stingers that'll surely help with the battle"

To those who say that Ash is a more experienced trainer, Paul has journeyed through the same regions as Ash up to that point. Paul is smarter and his Pokemon are trained better than Ash's.

Well, in terms of anime battles, you could take liberties by using anime characters having otherwise-impossible matchups, like Ash v. himself (with both of you using 6 random Pokemon Ash had).

Yeah, John. I don't get why Buizel didn't even evolve in the anime. All episodes where there was a Floatzel, the Floatzel would just be completely AMAZING!!! Also, tbh... I was rooting for Paul this reinactment; simply because there seems to be a stronger match up

I personally like the more dynamic battle style of the Anime. Why shouldn't Buizel be able to propel himself away from Drapion with Water Gun? Would you prefer if battles were just two Pokemon standing across from each other, taking turns firing off attacks while the other just stands there and takes it?

I kept on saying dude go for close combat or flare blitz when you used infernape cause if he didn't switch out free kill, and you still have Frosslass and ninjask which are down right easy for infernape.

How about Paul vs Brandon at the Battle Pyramid Paul: Electabuzz, Magyar, Hariyama, Lairon, Nidoking, Ursaring Brandon: the Regi trio, (+Ninjask, Dusclops, and Solrock if you want an even match, even though he only used the Regis in the show)

What was the point of that Quick Attack? Doesn't Staraptor outspeed Aggron? Edit: Aggron *could* outspeed if it's on the high end of its speed range and Staraptor is on the low end.

no gary was...he always antagonized ash which got under his skin aka the sign of a good rival(Gary was here p.s. ash is a loser(: is the best troll moment ever) and their rivalry lasted 5 years...not to mention Pikachu never beat any of garys pokemin they grew up together and gary was nice to his pokemon unlike paul..he just was more serious than ash was when it came to training his pokes and making them follow him rather then be their friends...I liked their rivalry was more about who wins then making a statement about anything else....also it changed garys career path..he really saw he was not fit out to be a trainer when he lost to ash..I also like dhow they showed gary had flawes when he lost earlier than ash did at the indigo league...he wasn't the best like he claimed..so it felt like 2 equals.
