I actually agree. The hype for Ashes has diminished massively in the last couple of months. Mainly cuz there is no FOMO sales anymore and cuz the main marketing for Ashes has always been content creators which - not great but understandable, its next to impossible to promote something that doesnt exist and wont exist for a while. I often feel like snakes oil salesman when telling my friends about AoC lmao We desperately need new blood in the community. Its becoming an echo chamber and its not good for the game so tell your friends and spread the word. If you truly believe the project dont let anyone make you think otherwise! Oh and dont listen to Asmongold XD
I think there will be a big influx of people when A2 comes in a few months and content creators release vids on it. Most of that will end up being negative, but actually having something that isn't vaporware will give it staying power that it hasn't had until now.
Its underrated, considering how ground breaking it will be if they nail it. I myself find myself not all that hype 😂 But It while build at a fever pitch if A2 is everything it's suppose to be
Agree hopefully, they do actually nail it. I want a mmorpg as good as 2004 Vanilla WoW and hype like SWTOR. It's been a while sense a mmorpg did that 😕
Better to be under hyped than over hyped in this stage of development. If the game is good, people will come and play, let the game cook in the shadow. If it's good it will be covered everywhere, Twitch, RU-vid and so on.
Even if I agree with the good culture of listening feedback from Intrepid The low attrition rate seems strange As nearly all visible initial developper of Intrepid left the company
@@RyveGenesis Some people that were there at the beginning, I dont see anymore: Peter Pilone, Jeffery Bard, Matt Reynolds, Keith Koback, Michael Bacon, Mat Brune, Kevin McPherson, Sarah Flanagan...
My plan is to be the slowest leveller in the history of MMO. I’m going to read every word of the quests (hopefully they will be voice acted though). I’m going to explore, I’m going to talk to people, I’m going to craft and I’m going to drive my donkey cart. MMORPG is not a race.

I don't want to be rude toward the devs behind Ashes but we literally have over 5 upcoming AAA mmo's from big studios that actually know how to get the job done, AoC feels like a 2018 MMO with an old type of combat and feels slow, sluggish and just a bad UI, the tab-target thing should be removed, below is the real deal and why future MMO's are in good hands: 1- Riot MMO 2- LotR MMO by Amazon 3- Zenimax upcoming MMO 4- Playable worlds upcoming MMO project 5- Guild Wars 3 6- Warhammer MMO 7- Star Citizen 8- Pax Dei 9- Ghost (MMO by GhostCrawler) 10- Project Artemis 11- DreamHaven upcoming MMO project 12- Worlds Untold upcoming MMO project 13- The Believer upcoming MMO project 14- Crimson Desert 15- Chrono Odessey 16- Archaege 3 17- Dune Awakening MMO AND MORE
How do you know it feels sluggish and slow? You played it? 1- Riot MMO -- I hate to break it to you, but the Riot MMO has been in development since 2016, and reset twice. That project might never happen. 2- LotR MMO by Amazon -- AGS?????? 3- Zenimax upcoming MMO (not much info on this one) -- ZENIMAX??????? 4- Playable worlds upcoming MMO project -- I've heard of this one, and yeah Raph Koster made SWG so I am interested in it 5- Guild Wars 3 -- I am excited about it for sure, but ...NCSOFT 6- Warhammer MMO -- was interested until I heard who is publishing it.... 7- Star Citizen -- I am not a huge space MMO fan TBH 8- Pax Dei -- I am interested in this one, but they have a lot to prove still. Combat is currently terrible. 9- Ghost (MMO by GhostCrawler) -- WOW Clone 10- Project Artemis -- Never heard of it 11- DreamHaven upcoming MMO project -- they haven't announced an MMO yet, but it could happen 12- Worlds Untold upcoming MMO project -- Never heard of it 13- The Believer upcoming MMO project -- Never heard of it 14- Crimson Desert - Not an MMO. Will be P2W 15- Chrono Odessey -- What looks good about it? They haven't shown any gameplay yet, just CGI trailers. It is a Korean dev. Their past project was some blockchain P2W bullshit 16- Archaege 3 -- Archeage 2 might be OK, but Kakao will fuck it up again. 17- Dune Awakening MMO - doesn't look like an MMO to me

@@RyveGenesis literally you have no clue what you are talking about, AoC is going to fail severely pin my comment and you will see, the RIOT MMO will dominate your shitty fantasy low budget game that will turn to Ashes as its name suggests lol
lol, I would only even considering playing one of these 17 listed..and that is GW3 and that is only if it's not floaty like GW2 is....the rest..are .....laughable at best.

@@RyveGenesisAoC will turn to Ashes, same as its name suggests lmao
No link to your sponsor ? Where do i pick up this "Rock" you speak of ? Anyway just found you channel thanks for the update it looks good . I will be back
Honestly I just think people are so sick of pay2win games and shit mmos everyone is just putting there hopes into Ashes of Creation and with that the hype jumps in but you can fully understand why, the game, its devs, steven the systems and vision behind it, i have so much faith in it and cant wait for A2, but i agree its nice just to see a actual western non pay2win mmo that is actually good and not a total pile of horse shit but still we have such a long way to go. honestly i would say its more than 45 mil now.
I could write a 20 page essay on all the reasons this MMO is entirely unique in terms of it's development and why it's worthy of any hype it gets. The phenomena in which people are blind to this is almost as interesting as the game itself.
well its only mmo thats comming and seems like it could stay soo deserves the hype.. alpha 2 soon will be able to test how it feels to play ofc watching dev updates is diffrent than playing urself
its not over hyped, but its definitely not under hyped. The issue is that it was hyped ages ago, and to me is hitting the same stage of hype death as hytale, despite getting more info about the game than hytale.
I agree with you, to some extent. I think the game is underhyped to the correct market. But I think where its being overhyped is to the people who will want to turn it into a WoW clone, aka Asmon's audience. I think to the larger contingent of MMO players, the ones that started with WoW or other similar theme park MMO's, that this game will likely not have a lot of staying power. Players of those types of MMO's have been raised on convenience - boosted xp rates (or flat out pay for level skips), alt friendliness, 0 grind, P2W, solo player friendly, optional and unpunished PvP, fast travel/abundance of flying mounts, etc etc. Look what they did to new world, complaining about non-optional PvP.. and because Amazon doesnt have a back bone or vision, they allowed them to ruin it.. and they still lost interest and the game died. I believe Ashes will stick with their vision and allow it to be a more niche game, but I think a lot of people are hyped about this game that will ultimately not last long. I hope it changes some peoples perspective on what an MMO can be and that they learn to enjoy a game with more of a focus on player interaction, conflict and communities. I hope I'm wrong and ashes cultivates the next generation of MMOs and players, but even in my own friend group.. I can't see a lot of them lasting, seeing how they play current MMO's and what they complain about.
Underhyped? people waited for a decade for this damn game to be released! It was EXTREMELY hyped, it just died down coz people got fed up waiting for it to release. Do your research bro!
If you had done your research, you would know that the game has only be in development 7 years, but the first few were with a team of 20 so they didn't get much done. Not 10 years
Never hype a game that isn't out yet. Looking forward to it a lot is fine, but to keep hyping the game in the state it is in right now (unfinished), isn't doing anyone any good. Neither you, nor the company, so what's the point.
I don't think Ashes is underhyped. I think the Ashes community are so biased towards to it that they don't realise that outside from the "magic" it looks like any other shit.
I could careless if AoC has WoW like bits. The gameplay I've seen and the elements to it remind me of WoW. They also remind me a bit of ESO and other MMOs. I don't care if it takes good elements from FF or Wildstar or whatever MMO or game it might take elements from. I only care what it feels and plays like. I think to say its WoW clone is stupid, but to say its completely free of WoW influence is also stupid. But I also don't care. Game looks good. Hype is ok. Hype only gets out of control really when the consumer allows it to be and honestly I'm a bit to jaded as a gamer anymore to let that occur.
I mean... they already tried to pull a scam over with that battle royale they pushed, now its just looking like a star citizen wannabe with never releaseing lol.
Why are so many afraid of TAB? Some TAB can be great. Some action can be great. Some action can be super scuffed as well. Action doesn't automatically mean good combat.
Over hyped lol gonna have hudge balancing issues from the get go. The money economy is going to be monopolized by streamer. Going to be issues with griefing. The game going release with more issues than new world.
@@freezax4 Some of what you said, could be true. We will have to see. The Money economy monopolized by streamers--Possibly. However, the large organized guilds will probably be the ones that dominate the economy. Which is probably a bigger problem. More issues than New World. -- I disagree with this one. The game is being developed by actual MMO players. NW was developed by developers that did not even play MMOs let alone ever develop one. Ashes is not pivoting the focus of the game. The one place where Ashes could have issues, is the game is very complex. So, that could cause it to have issues just from its shear complexity. Which has always been my biggest concern, how complex the game is. I am hyped about the game but I do have concerns as well, and I have talked about those in previous videos.
@@RyveGenesis damn it like you did not see what happened in new world at all. You streamer like asmongold. They will start will severs then merge them as time goes on constantly making imbalance issues. New world staff were MMO players lol most staff was bought out from major studios. Blizzard, activision. Some BDO designers. I know you want it to go well. Yet following non-linear story and game play. Seems cool on paper but not in practice. Look what happened to WOW classic economy vs first release. This game is going to punish small communities and casual players. Game play is going to filled with healing/ dps meta once again same issue in NW.
@@freezax4 NW was the worst launch in MMO history by far. There have been a lot of other MMOs besides NW, and I have played a lot of them at launch. There are always issues, but NW is by far and away the worst. WIth multiple years of testing and have a clear vision and not pivoting the game last minute like NW did, Ashes is likely not going to be nearly as bad.
