With the cleaning they had to do on the clothing bad then, could have been uncomfortable. Now with all the cleaning options would be easier. Like alot of those dresses. Video well done. Thank you

We're going next week, which ticket packages do you recommend? Is there any audio tour that offers Thai language ? Does anyone know?

fatmanpedaling the season package has the best value if you're close enough to use it. The winery is spectacular. The weekly concert series is fanstastic. We live about an hour and half away we love it

The repetitive music gets irritating after a while, however, thank you for the beautiful shots of the place

Hard to believe how they lived so highly, many years ago. Mrs Vanderbilt ( Gloria) never really enjoyed this home as she has told. It is sad how she and her son were treated evidently. This was the most stunning of homes though to be honest. Could never use all the rooms , just one family, but the people of service, needed to live there too and had top floors to live on ,as there were so many working at that time. Money does truly talk. So majestic that I would never want to leave home ! It would be my life. Would get all the exercise needed just walking around the house and as I strolled through each day I would know how things were going . Would love this life. Could have meetings right at home! Hostess parties from time to time, and what a life! My husband could take care of big business, but I would handle other types of business, and all would get done. Staying low profile and yet being awake to needs of this world, things that could be helped in some ways, as I learn about it all.

And, the Vanderbilt Family, consuming all the family wealth. gave this home up! Seems that the Vanderbilt heirs could never make enough money to keep this Jewel of a home in the family and gave it up.

Yes, well you can't snd 5 year olds down coal mines or to cotton mills 7 days a week anymore.

It is still owned by the family. They never gave it up, they just opened it up to the public.

Wrong they have consistently held the lease for 99 year stints ...its true owner is the french royals....laugh if you want but its true....under the name Payseur as pointed to by Q and researched by INTHEMATIXXX.

It's privately owned by George Vanderbilt's heirs. William Cecil and his sister.
