A video of the Ashford to Hastings Branch Line which is better know as Marshlink. This Video was recorded in the 1990's. Services on Marshlink where operated by Network South East at the time using DMU's Class 205 and 207's diesel trains. The line is unelectrified.

Great video, really nicely shot - people don't realise what a tremendous difference using a tripod makes! so many memories brought back by this great production - really well done, and really appreciate you posting it. Many, many thanks.

Most enjoyable video. This line would be such an obvious choice for 3rd rail electrification, but with Network Rail unable to wire a 3-pin plug let alone electrify a line, and all available funds going to HS2 and various schemes in London, very unlikely to happen. Nice to see the Thumpers in action.

Interesting that there is a green liveried DEMU as well as Network South East colours.

The green class 205 DEMU was destroyed in the Cowden head on collision on the Uckfield line .
