Central Virginia's premier annual railroad event took place on Saturday November 3rd in Ashland VA. For the 16th year in a row, Ashland Train Day attracted thousands of people to celebrate the town's rich railroad history.
Throughout my day (6:30 am - 8:30pm) I caught 23 trains on CSX's RF&P sub. (+ 2 more on the Buckingham Branch). All 23 trains that came through Ashland Virginia are showcased in this video here.
You will see massive CSX freights with a high and wide load, stunning hornshows unmatched anywhere else, and popular east coast Amtrak trains like the Auto Train, Silver Star, and plenty of Northeast Regionals.
