Did you talk about her Flash Parry? I must have missed it, its her strongest tool. Her Armor move Astral Projection has that invulnerability and you can enhance it them cancel instantly to be in same place but soak up their hit putting opponent in recovery to do a 21 full combo punish on so many things from gaps in strings, beginning of specials, moves, jump ins, CMD Grabs, Jump ins, Throws and with Sareena you can use it to punish projectiles full screen. Its OD, the only character that can do this. It's way more powerful than an armored launcher like Kung Lao's Shaolin Shimmy with Goro Up Punch. She doesn't need armored launcher like others because of this unique S+ Tier Tool! So Goro is not her optimal kameo. According to the 4 top Ashrah players: Dragon, YoungMonster, SonicFox, TitaniumTigerz, they say Sareena is her best with Scorpion being a great option for certain bad matchups she cant enforce space control setplay. I'm picking up Ashrah as a main right now. Im actually experimenting with Ashrah/Stryker because of the launching + frames on her F3xxDF1/B3xxDF3. But i think they are right that Sareena is her best because shes a full screen threat and good everywhere if you master Dark Stance for up close pressure.
Sonya with her is basically scorpion but way easier timing in my mind. That's who I usually run with her. You're getting 40%on a lot of your stuff and 52% if you have resources
I can get the opponent off the ground. But I can’t hit them while they’re in the air. and I can’t learn how to cuz the whole mk community speaks in hieroglyphics.
meter less she can do 417 damage, most easy combo she has , back 3,down forward 3, in air press 1, do this two times and continue the normal air attacks after the last one (1). no meters has so many combos on her its crazy, also she can combo out of almost everything as a player u never knew. experience her and try most things can start a combo string, i think her downside is pressure defense.down 4 or bak forward 2.. if ur real good Dark stance is a cool mind game if they respect ur mid already, xD
I have a really hard time converting from the 2,1 d,f,1 into the f+2. The f+2 timing is a little odd and has to be delayed slightly so it comes out but if delayed too much, it whiffs. Anyone have suggestions on it?
It's still weird but my best tip is to delay f2 until you visually see the opponent in the air after her projectile hits. Also another tip using her fatal blow after f2 is super buggy for me after the projectile so I usually dash forward and do 1-2 then fatal
@hakopkardzhyan4618 I'll give this a shot. I was watching Ashra's sword and basically when I see it come back above her head after the projectile, I was having some consistent success but not confident enough to use it in a match. I normally just skip the projectile and go right into the f2 after the 2,1 for consistency. I'll hit the lab later tonight and try this visual cue. Thank you.
@@kayjay2094 yep lol that's exactly what I used to do I only switched when I got into the higher ranks in KL. Once you get it down though it becomes really easy so you pretty much get 40% from every punish.
I was a goro user with her, but last couple weeks I’ve been enjoying full screen combos with sereena. Sektors rocket seems to recharge slow and the damage doesn’t seem as good, but I’m sure if I had as solid neutral as you I’d use Sektor
Great guide, I'm a Skarlet main and got recommended to play Ashrah as she is similar in style of play with space control, glad I picked her up because she is exactly my play style. Only thing I cant seem to get down is her parry.
Is it poossible to link b22 to df3? Few times i saw when people used b22 as a starter, but rn its impossible to do that. Is that me or NRS changed something about her?
She has an overhead and low starter that can both go into launchers. Standing 1 is +1 and 1,2 is 0 on block. Not to mention she becomes plus on block with a lot of strings with her cancel. Her pressure and her mixups are way better than my main.
Raw mix is seriously overrated imo but she actually has scary mix. She has no gaps, meterless plus frame setups, insane range, combos off back throw/overhead/low with the right kameo’s. Like depending on the stance she has an armored teleport or armored hit she can cancel if she wants to. It also has 2 hits of armor because why not 🤷🏻 She’s top 5 now imo
