Asia Ginseng Farming and Harvesting - Amazing Korea Agriculture Farm 

I want to plant ginseng at home, so I did order some red ginseng seeds from some Korean sellers on Amazon. I ended up receiving all faked seeds. I went to Korean stores, but none of them sell it.

Wow monster roots. It grows wild in the Appalachian Mountains, US. I hunted it for years growing up there. Many laws protect it now from over harvesting. Most supplies of it are cultivated but the pricing is very low compared to the wild crop that grows in the dense forest. Low light and limited nutrients cause very slow growth of the roots and can be seen in the tightly packed growth rings around the roots. Roots the size shown in the video would take easily 25 to 30 years of growth but will bring about $1000 per pound dried, where the cultivated roots only bring $100 to $150. Cultivated crops are usually protected closely and can result in trespassers in being shot. lol No joke. The mountain people name for the plant is Sane. The mountain slang is unique and fun. lol

Great video. Friends of mine present me when they arrive from Korea. In the beginning I don't like the smell but after taking regular more than one week my health & skin more healthy and fresh from there I can to know the benefit of taking ginseng

Excuse me, but we, Wisconsin, USA, has been cultivating and harvesting Ginseng since late 70s. It was a big boom in the 80s, but somewhere in the 90s it died down, but still today we still have farmers who still have ginseng farms. You know that it may takes 5 years to harvest, but the damages from the ginseng onto the soil takes 10+ years to go back to its orginal soil makeup. Wisconsin ginseng is highly valued. Btw my parents owned and grew ginseng so I know, how it works. Any questions on them, I could answered for you.

I watched a documentary about ginsen in Korea years ago and that was a ginsen festival because there were many people gathered there. They tried many type of ginsen like boiled, grilled, honeyed,... and there were some unharvested ginsen area which give me a beautiful view with green and red of ginsen.

The 6 month plant picture and one year plant picture was super inaccurate, those were much older plants... my parents were ginseng farmers for over 10 yrs, 6 months and one year plants are super tiny... it is a super expensive crop to grow and extremely fussy and requires so much added pesticides not to mention 3-5 years to take care of until harvesting. Its not like corn or soy beans where you can just plant and let it grow.

I went to Korea House ginseng last month..n guess what..they never sell the seed,coz they want to regenerate the next ginseng from that seed.actually there’s a lot more health benefit from the seed,but korean farmer won’t sell it.
