Asian Dub Foundation is celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year, and to commemorate this the
band proudly release the album “94-Now: Collaborations” on September 27, 2024
“94-Now: Collaborations” showcases their many iconic collaborations and will be available on CD, vinyl and digital formats.
The album features 11 tracks including: “No Fun” with Iggy Pop reinterpreting the classic Stooges song with new vocals and alternate lyrics, “1000 Mirrors” recorded with Sinéad O’Connor and Radiohead’s guitarist Ed O’Brien, and further collaborations with Stewart Lee, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Primal Scream and Chuck D.
Asian Dub Foundation are a genre unto themselves. Their unique combination of jungliest rhythms, dub bass lines and wild guitar overlaid by references to their South Asian roots via militant high-speed rap has established them as one of the best live bands in the world. The story began in the early 90’s when ADF formed from a music workshop in East London at the institution which is their spiritual home, Community Music. Their unique beginnings in a music workshop in east London shaped both their sound and their educational aspirations, setting up their own organisation ADF Education (ADFED), plus instigating campaigns on behalf of those suffering miscarriages of justice.
Building a solid live reputation in the mid-90’s, they gained worldwide recognition sharing the stage with Rage Against The Machine, the Beastie Boys, Radiohead and Primal Scream. On record, they've collaborated with Radiohead, Sinead O'Connor, Iggy Pop, Adrian Sherwood, and Chuck D.
In addition to their blistering live reputation ADF were one of the first bands to experiment with live film re-scores (“Cineconcerts”), beginning with their rapturously- received re-interpretation of the French classic La Haine back in 2001.
In 30 years, Asian Dub Foundation have racked up 1000’s of unforgettable shows, 9 studio albums alongside a social and educational activism that both created the group and sustains them today. In celebration of this unique project Asian Dub Foundation will also be playing an extensive European tour for 2024-25 of more than 60 shows.

La musique d’Asian Dub Foundation est un genre en soi. Leur fusion unique de rythmes jungle, de lignes de basse dub, de guitares sauvages puisant dans leurs racines sud-asiatiques et de rap militant les a établis comme l'un des meilleurs groupes live au monde. L'histoire commence au début des années 90 lorsque ADF se forme à partir d'un atelier de musique dans l'Est de Londres dans l'institution qui est toujours restée leur foyer spirituel depuis, le Community Music. Ces débuts ont marqué à la fois leur son et leurs aspirations éducatives plus larges, comme en témoignent la création de leur propre organisation éducative ADF Education (ADFED) et leurs campagnes en faveur des victimes d’erreurs judiciaires.
Construisant une solide réputation scénique au milieu des années 90, ils se sont finalement imposés à l’échelle mondiale partageant la scène avec Rage Against The Machine, Radiohead, les Beastie Boys et Primal Scream. Sur disque, ils ont collaboré avec Radiohead, Sinead O 'Connor, Iggy Pop, Adrian Sherwood ou encore Chuck D. Par ailleurs, ADF est l'un des premiers groupes à s’intéresser sérieusement aux ciné-concerts, à commencer par leur ré-interprétation de la bande originale du film classique français « La Haine » en 2001.
En 30 ans, Asian Dub Foundation a réalisé plus de 1000 shows mémorables aux quatre coins du monde, 9 albums studios, tous plus mythiques les uns que les autres, en parallèle de leurs activités militantes sociales et éducatives qui sont à la fois le point de départ du groupe et ce qui continue de le faire vivre aujourd'hui. Cette année, pour célébrer la longévité de ce projet unique, Asian Dub Foundation annonce une tournée Européenne 2024-2025 de plus de 60 dates ainsi qu’un album qui compile certaines de leurs collaborations les plus iconiques, « 94-Now: Collaborations » (Sortie le 27.09.24)
