My natural T is 950 ng/dl, free T is high and DHT is high. I can barely grow facial hair. It comes down to sensitivity of hair follicles to androgens and blood flow. I've been accused of roids due to massive traps. My muscles are very sensitive to testosterone

Eric Leung checked your latest videos. The long beard fits you quite well too. I keep mine sometimes short, sometimes long according to my mood. Your beard may grow a title bit slower but the density is okay, it’s quite thick.

However I managed to survive their pressure and hold my beard for around 50 days till my wife back. she is shocked but not that kind of shock you know, it's not fun because she actually liked it...

So applying castor oil in combination with a diet rich in plant oils (nuts and seeds) will yield the best results. :)

Secondly, it’s just not very popular among most East Asian pop culture. You hardly find any popular celebrity or well known actors or singers with facial hair. Besides, having a beard may also associate with dirty and lazy....of course, there are more other reasons but these are the most common ones

I’ve read some articles online and it mentioned about most East Asian men have less 5-a enzyme which causes lower level on DHT, and DHT is a powerful beard boosting hormone. In additions, East Asian men also have less sensitive androgen receptors in the face which making it harder for the beard growing hormones to actually have any effect in the beard follicle cells. So long story short, yes. It’s actually harder for most East Asian men to grow beard.

First it is due to genetics, compared to Caucasians, Asian hair follicles are generally less sensitive to male hormones, second thing is about social perceptions, in China they used to have this" beard culture" before Qing Dynasty that most men would kept facial hair when they entered adulthood , but during Qing Dynasty the Manchu culture largely influenced the original Chinese culture that most people started shaving off most their facial hair except for moustaches, and this thing became even more aggressive during Industrial Age, as facial hair was often associated with negative perceptions such as being violent, unclean, uneducated, low social status and so on, because in past decades in most regions of China only bandits kept facial hair as they typically hided in remote areas like mountains, and those who were uneducated and poor such as construction workers were also the ones who tended to have facial hair as they didn't have time or resources to buy shaving tools. Nowadays these perceptions are still quite persistent that is why most men in China and Japan always clean shaven except for certain occupations such as artists, otherwise it can be quite difficult to find girlfriends or pass job interviews.

Aunny Changezi if you look online, there are quite a few side effects such as dry skin, dizziness, chest pain and irregular heartbeat...etc; however, it doesn’t apply to everyone.

Eric Leung Shit just saw the replay. I’m from Zhenjiang Southern part of China. I can only grow sparse mustache and goatee. Though my father is in similar condition, he was able to connect these two parts when he hit 30. It’s just super difficult to grow.

Yea, most Han Chinese can only grow a mustache and goatee but as get older, some can grow a full beard. You may try rocking the van dyke look for now. It’s actually very cool

Yes,minoxidil is probably the main solution; however since you have a sensitive type of skin, it is gonna burn you. Have you tried the derma roller? In addition, I believe it also has something to do with your diet. Do you normally eat a lot of meat? How often do you exercise? Weight lifting helps to boost your testosterone. Are you able to grow a mustache or goatee?

At what age do you figure you could grow out a full beard? As someone just got into their roaring 20's, I really want to grow out a beard. Do you think that's still too young for someone of 1/5 Slavic and 4/5 Asian descent to out their facial hair to full potential?

For a full beard, I believe it’s around late 20s and early 30s but it really depends and everyone is different. Since you are mixed, you may have better chance to grow a full beard than full blood Asian. Before I started my journey, I looked online and watched a lot of RU-vid videos, it seems that the 5% minoxidil works for many people. Some ppl recommend the jamaican castor oil with a brush to stimulate growth. Heard ppl use the derma roller also...etc. You may wanna give it a try? How about your dad or uncle? I guess it may not be the same since they have different % of Asian, huh?

The Slavic side is from the maternal line. Since my dad is full Asian, he can only grow a mustache and a loose chin beard and a few errands around his jaw line. But my maternal grandfather had pictures of him wearing a goatee and an imperial mustache. I've seen him wearing full beard with a mixture of curly and straight hair, although he prefers clean shaven due to the work culture in Asia.

I looked online and it said that the androgen receptor is on the X chromosome, which is why some people propagate the myth that male-pattern baldness comes from the mother's side of the family (a male inherits the X chromosome from mom, the Y chromosome from dad).

If you would like to start, I recommend you to not shave for 3 months and see what you have; then, you decide what to do with it. Please watch some of my other videos if interested. I believe the growth is permanent. Once your beard is terminal, it will stay.

The best way to find out is to give it a try. Don’t shave for a month and see how it goes. We have to wear a mask anyways so even if it looks weird or messy, nobody will see it.

No problem bro. Btw, beard oil doesn’t help to enhance growth and it’s just like a conditioner to your beard. I’ve heard a lot of success from people using minoxidil but there are side effects. You should do all the readings online and review all the pros and cons before using.
