For me I'm white and my hair takes hold really well to curls, braids, whatever I do to it (except straightening that doesn't last long on my hair lol) but I have thick curly hair so I kind of got lucky? Sometimes I wish I could have silky shiny hair like so many of my peers have but I try to be grateful lol 😂
More like fine vs thick hair I'm Asian without any mixed parents and still my hair is like the European girl cause I have fine hair therefore it doesn't holds any style for longer periods
Same like I straightened my hair today in the morning but when I went outside it started raining. My curls came back a few seconds later like why did I waste 25 mins this morning 😭
I literally just commented on being shocked Asian hair maintaining curls when my mom said ours didn't because we're Asian, but I guess my hair is more German! Well this confirms it I guess!! 😆
@@BldElfPrince my hair stays curls for like 2 hours and dies but sometimes it holds for like days. And I'm so confused. Because I did nothing different XD
You know that there’s lots of curly haired people in every European country right? 😅 most people just don’t know how to care for it, call it frizzy and straighten it to death
@@Ella-bg2ve mine never stayed straight, I used to hate it Now with proper curl care I don’t have to invest much time, it looks so much better it’s unbelievable I love how the view of hair changes, that not only straight hair is seen as beautiful
@@velsie2303 no we don’t 😅 a lot of us for sure have straight hair, but not most There are so many people straightening or blow drying their hair to be straighter.
True but sometimes the hair just refuses to stay curled. Unless I set my hair into curls when it's wet they won't last all day and even then they're gone the next day. The heavier the hair the faster the curls go bye bye.
True, my thick yet European hair held my vintage pinup curls super well until the lenght hit past my scapula and now i can barely get any curl to stick 😆
@@user-qz3kh4bq7y My hair is thinner than the girl's in the video but length still adds weight. Once my hair is past my shoulders my waves get stretched out to close to straight once it's waist length. But also the hair strand itself affects how long it will hold styles, fine hair doesn't hold styles as long as coarse hair does.
I'm Asian but I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with ethnicity/race. Everyone's hair has different texture and density. When I curl my hair, I have to let the curling iron sit in my hair longer because I have thick hair. It'll also stay curl all day too. My sister in law, who's also Asian, has super thin hair and her hair will go back to straight within a few hours.
Also true. Hair typenand quality in general can differ hugely through ethnicity though. It's not a law of 100%, it all depends texture and type like you said, health, air humidity, age, genetics, diet, lifestyle, but then again... referring back to genetics, just by chance some ethnicity has more of those genes perhaps that enables "the texture" rather than another one. Same goes with hair colour or eye colour or skin colour. It's just how it is and It's so interesting! I love how different we all are
I don't know about the ability to keep the curl, but the thickness and density absolutely change from race to race. Of course there are white people with thick strong hair and for sure there are Asians with weak, rare hair, but *on everage* the tendency is that Northern people have thinner hair than Southern people.
@@Milkisicky i have a waves where my hair is longer and curls where my hair is shorter. im dutch, whiter than snow and none of my family members have my hair And the "usual" for people who are dutch is straight, thin-medium hair types.
@@someoneintheworld8920 Presumed it was common knowledge but race, from a genetic standpoint, has influence on each of your individual characteristics. Likely that you have heritages you’re unaware of. Textured hair is not exclusive to a race - but you recognized it yourself, it’s a minority.
@@saratran9699 no it depends on whether ur hair is thick or thin cuz I’m full Asian and my mom has thinner hair like the European girl but I have thicker hair like the other one
I'm Polish and my hair can't hold any hair style without whole can of hair spray. My mom once put a whole tube of gel AND a can of hair spray on my hair and it lasted about 6-7 hours. I can only wear ponytail 😂😂
As a European with naturally curly hair i always get people looking at me asking how come my curls last so long like... I have curly hair bro?? I do wish sometimes I has straight hair tho
Yeah I think it honestly depends on the person, and also, there’s many countries in Asia and Europe that people are from. Example, I’m Half Italian and my hair is super curly My friend is from Russia and her hair is wavy and thin
Same here, or my ever changing thick Euroopan hair with what my hair dresser told me is very like asian hair when she tried to dye it but it just slips off 😅 Strange hair be like.
Germanoids really think they’re the only whites of the world don’t they 😭 nvm us tan skinned curly haired europoors making up half of Europe lol. Forgotten once again, as is tradition 👍
it does not have much to do with where ur from but ur parents hair type or genetics cause people from different cultures can have the same texture as someone who is Asian
@@k.cthedogofficialtheog lmao no. If both you parents are white European, the child can still have hair like the asian girl in this video. This about the hair thickness not the hair type. Since they both have the same hair type.
What is even more important is how the hair is treated. If you color your hair a lot and don't take care of it, it can affect everything you do with your hair. And many other things that affect other than "asian" or "European" hair. Nowadays people generalize everything and most of the times it's the least affecting thing.
*Northern European hair*. There is no such thing as the “European” standard/ “Eurocentric”. It is an American made up ideology to push White American/Northern European white supremacy. Europe is a continent not an ethnicity nor a race just like all continents. Are all Asians one ethnicity/race? NO. Are all Africans the same? NO. Are all Americans the same? NO. Europe has always been a multi cultural, multi ethnical and multi racial continent due to the Mediterranean and due to the fact that parts of Southern Europe are closer to Africa than mainland Europe itself. I am of Southern European Latin Mediterranean diaspora specifically southern Italian Latin Mediterranean diaspora and we look absolutely nothing like Northern European diaspora due to our differences in ethnicity, race and gentic DNA. And we have typical brown Mediterranean features with olive skin which browns very easily due to melanin production in our skin. And yes we as Mediterranean people have wavy, deep waves and curly hair. Not straight. And yes for the uneducated North Americans and other uneducated countries that have been influenced by the USA REAL ethnically Latino men and women are us people who are predominantly racially Mediterranean and of ACTUAL Latin origin as we descend from the REAL Latino Mediterranean ancestors of ITALY and Roman derived LATIN EUROPE due to our ethnicity from the REAL Latino Mediterranean ancestors of ITALY. The American misappropriation, mutilation and cultural Rape of foreign Latin European terms needs to be exposed. During hitlers time we were called “the chaotic Latin Race” by Northern European supremacist. And still are called Wogs, terrone etc. By Northern Europeans. There are No “white” Mediterraneans. Just more cultural assimilation, cultural erasure and cultural negation in order to achieve cultural erasure of many people. Learn history
I'm asian and my hair would not hold a curl for more than half a day. It also tends to get frizzy in humid climates, unlike most other east asians. My other relatives have much softer and finer hair than I do that stays smooth in humidity.
Me being asian with naturally straight hairs :- no curling works , no hair product works edit: AHHHhHHhhH...okay what the actual heck, never thought this simple comment would get this many likes XD honestly its amazing, but only if we could earn from it XDDDDD
You can’t really compare in that case since the length is very different too ❤️ longer hair = heavier, which means curls behave different than on short hair
im southeast asian with thick wavy hair (in a bad way, it looks so bad on me it makes me look like a clown, literally) and 1 hour after having my hair straightened in the salon my hair just puffs up again 🗿
Try collagen serum, put it on your wet hair, blow-dry it, then straight it. I think your hair is naturally curly, try to use products according to your hair and watch some routines about it.
@@guccinim4996 wdym I literally am Korean. My mum and dad had really light and thin hair when they were a baby so that’s why my hair is like this. But when I’m older it will probably get darker and thicker as that’s what happened to them. Also I’m not being delusional I am Korean and just cause one Korean doesn’t mean I can’t be a kpop fan. Anyways I don’t live in Korea so I don’t like classifying my self as Korean and would rather say British.
My hair is too thin and it looks like I'm bald on the second day after washing, so i have to wash it every day. I don't even want to try and curl it with those things, it's going to disappear for real. On the other hand, my best friend's hair is the best. It's thick, she washes it once a week and even if she doesn't, it still looks clean. She can do every hairstyle because it's stays like that. We're both European. It's so unfair 😭😭
What shampoo are you washing your hair with? Even thin hair shouldnt get oily after one day if you use a decent shampoo. I recommend the channel; blowout professor. He explains this stuff very well.

asian with straight, fine hair. my hairdresser always tells me how difficult it is to curl my hair, I feel bad letting her know it’s usually gone by the time I’m home 😂
I didn't realize other people didn't have that problem. Whenever I try to shape my hair into anything, it will just go back to it's natural state after a few hours.
