I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS SONG FOR 14 YEARS. 14 YEARS IT WAS IN MY MIND. I FOUND IT TODAY OMG I'M CRYING. I LOVE THIS SONG. I FOUND IT IN 2006 NOW IT'S MAY 10 2020. I NEVER KNEW THE NAME JUST THE TUNE. I FOUND THE NAME IN A THROWBACK JPOP VIDEO FROM 2004. THIS SONG NEVER LEFT MY HEAD. I SAW IT FIRST IN A GOKUSEN MV WHEN I WAS 12 NOW I AM 26. LOVE FROM INDIA
@@randomstuffandye they got original fullmetal alchemist and fullmetal alchemist brotherhood. keep in mind that those are not a season 1 and season 2, but a 2 different story and got 2 different ending. fma 03 is original story more detailed but not same like manga. fma brotherhood is the fully manga base anime and got different ending also if you watch booth, you can tell that they skip so much stuff in fma 03 in fma brotherhood and jump into another scene that fma 03 didnt have
Wow...this makes me feel like a teenager all over again. Was in my mid teen years in high school, feeling infinite. Now I'm 32, but I still love coming back to this 😭
Japanese musicians have a wondrous way of moving me deeply without my even knowing what the singers are singing about. As for AKG, they have this extra sincerity transported through the sounds they make. This song in particular really makes me feel.
I’m so confident in this band that I literally just added all their songs to my playlist without listening to them. I’ve never heard a bad song from them, and everyone I’ve ever shows has said they are amazing as well.
@@LucasMR22 I actually forgot abt that song thanks for reminding me to listen to it today! Never watched Naruto but that song was so integral to my childhood

Didn't expect to see you here while reliving some animu openings from my childhood. It's cool to see an awesome creator on a slightly more obscure video.

As a man who watched full metal alchemist as a child I remember this song and hold it dearly in my heart, I remember the first time I heard it and my eyes lit up it was so fire and still is to this day
Grew up with Naruto and you guys throughout my high school years. Now, 31 year old, chasing my dreams to become a voice actor. Rock on guys! -From a fellow 90s kid looking for some nostalgia (2023)
I fell in love with this FMA op back in 2010. I felt so elated when I first listened to it, and still do to this day. It’s one of my favorite openings along with Melissa and SID’s Rain. It’s gold… feels even better each time I listen to it
Takes me back to high-school when Full metal alchemist first dropped. The Manga wasn't even finished but I didn't care i loved the show they gave us before brotherhood. Been jamming to it for like 15 years now
As kids/teens, we weren't over-thinking or over-analyzing shows/ media for things like characters, whimsy, magic, writing, creativity, emotions, comedic writing, heart, soul, mean-spiritedness, etc., we were just "in the moment" and blindly enjoying the show, ya know?
I remember watching FMA in 2007 and completely falling in love with the characters and the story, also remember that the way they ended the series crushed me, for weeks and weeks I was trying to process that ending, now i'm 31 years old, this song brings me so much memories that almost hurts, not that I have a bad life right now but the nostalgia is sometimes hard to process, that's why even if I love this song I only listen to it from time to time. Those who are coming back to listen to this song, I salute you, and hope that your life is prosperous
this band has at last one music in every anime from my childhood that is a masterpiece, when i listen to them give me chills and so much nostalgia . thank you ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION for the memories and good feeling only music can bring back to us.
I'm really surprised to see a lot of comments in not Japanese language to my favorite band, AKG, and find this band is loved all over the world. I'm proud of AKG as a Japanese fan.
Greetings from Perú buddy 🇵🇪.
Do people in Japan still like AKG? I feel like it's been many years, but people still love them, at least here in South America. I've been listening to Japanese bands since I was young, thanks to my older brother, and for sure I can say that AKG is my favorite among them.
Simplemente hermoso

Honestly this band kills it every time like the vocals and the instruments it's as if the band members have an age a day since they started and I'm just talking like their talent shines through every time they do a song which is one of the reasons I love this band

idk what is your fighting dude but to tell you fullmetal alchemist was released at 2003 and i heard this song 2005 or 2006 well do some research but me i don't need it cause i remember it well :3
I forgot what an emotional powerhouse this song is. I first heard it in FMA '03, which had so many emotional parallels to my own life, namely losing a parent at a young age. When I got to the final arc and i heard this song play in the intro, the emotional urgency vibed with me immediately. Then I saw the title. I really ought to read the translated lyrics to see if it matches up, but that was enough to identify a deep-seeded feeling inside of me; I wanted to rewrite my life for a better future. And now that I'm a parent, that sentiment is more impactful than ever.
I was half listening to a twitch streamer that lives in Japan and was at a bar streaming (PrimerTwo). I heard this song and it was so familiar but couldn't place it until someone in the comments just said FMA and it all came back to me. This is a fantastic song. I'm glad to have found it again since my original watching of FMA when it was being released week to week.
FMA 2003 is such a masterpiece only to be overshadowned by another masterpiece which is FMA Brotherhood. This is FMA 2003 best opening too in my opinion.
It was so amazing when they switched to this for the OP, 6 or 8 episodes from the finale, and the lyrics caused everything to click. Erase and rewrite the composition of your life and the world around you. Before the title aired for that episode there was a little quip on the title card: It is not the spoon that bends but your mind. After that trans[mutation]ition you finally get to see how Roy mustang fits in, I don't wanna spoil the end because its a culmination of 51 episodes, you'd be silly not to watch it, and if you already have you don't need me to tell you, but everything aligns with that theme in a harmony that resonates deeply with my soul; It's a masterpiece of storytelling.
Daniel some of the first couple filler episodes were a lil unnecessary. Like the forgers love or phantom thief but after those it gets soooooo much better.
Never watched fma but this song definitely sounds like it'd make you cry happy tears when you build nostalgia for the series All of this bands songs are like that really
Somehow, these guys, through their art, manage to transport me to a kind of parallel reality. It's like I have another life, a place where I feel special and all my problems don't exist. ✌
+PeKu Urh There is a loose english Translation version on Spotify by the "Darling Thieves." Probably loses some of it's awesomeness in the translation, but worth a listen.
This song brings back so many happy care free high school memories. So much nolistalgia friends that were like family. So many good times to look fondly on
I had a really good friend who had introduced me to this band. This was back in 2006. He was a giant weeb and so was I. We ended up living together and that ruined our friendship after highschool. When I hear this song though I still remember back when we were best buds, jamming out. I miss the more innocent times.
The Philosopher's Stone: those who possess it, no longer bound by the laws of equivalent exchange in alchemy, can gain without sacrifice... create without equal exchange. We searched for it... and we found it.
The albums Hokai Amp and Sol-Fa are both f*cking fire. I remember I was listening to a few of their songs that weren't featured on anime (as far as I know. I didn't know this one was on an anime) when I was dating a girl from Japan back in '05 and she never heard of this group. This was one of her favorite groups for a very long time, which says a lot as she was particular about the music she would listen to (she loves Hikki-chan, Shiina Ringo, Death Cab/Postal Service, 30 Seconds, Kick the Can Crew, l'arc en ciel, M-Flo, etc...). She asked me who this was and I told her. She listened to a few songs from them and told me they're very good. Kinda surprised I introduced her to this group, but I suppose someone has to introduce something to someone at some point, right? I haven't heard any of their more recent work, so I need to get on that.
... ! ... Oh!, Yeah!, Yeah!, Yeah!
This song brings back deep deep memories of being a kid watching full metal and being amazed by it deff one of my fav anime and mangas of all time imo its up there with berserk and jojo tbh
When I think back to those days tuning into Adult Swim in middle school late at night, watching anime like FMA, Outlaw Star, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, FLCL... This is the song that I think of. Those days will always be precious to me.
Man....outlaw star, and cowboy bebop. Adult swim is nowhere near as good as used to be. DBZ, OS, Bebop in middle school. FMA in high school...how did I turn 32 so fast?
