I love the Nimbus and have a pair of 22s in my rotation right now which will be getting lots of mileage in the coming months as I train for my 40-miler. I find them perfectly suited for road and light trail, and yes they’re. A bit heavy for the uptempo stuff but the trade-off is extreme comfort so I’ll take it.

Agree with everything you've said here mate - and going from the 22 to 24 you should notice them being a little lighter too. Would be interested to hear your thoughts on how the two models compare.

I currently am using the 23 version (I buy my shoes a year after release to get better prices). I love this shoe for longer recovery runs. It’s very plush!! I have run a couple 5K’s in it and it performed very well!!

It’s a great line up, and you’ve got a good one to look forward to next year - lighter and softer 👍 Just about the perfect shoe for clocking up the miles in.

Great video Lee. What are your thoughts on minimalist/zero drop shoes for running? I've heard they're good for improving running form which is something I probably need!

I started running in minimalist shoes and really enjoyed them - they feel very natural, but over long distances I suffered from injuries. Loads of people swear by them though, and I think the general advice for anyone wanting to try/transition from ‘normal’ shoes to zero drop is to do it gradually. I had some vibram five toes for a while, they were really fun to run in but I’d just do a warm-up/cool down in them, on grass, before switching to my main shoes for a the main session.

Great review Lee. I'm looking to get a better pair of road shoes for long runs so this is really helpful as the Nimbus is one model I've thought about. What's the longest run and longest trail run you've done in these and how did they feel on those?

Cheers Ben 👍 I ran 30 on the road in these and they stood up to that, and then a 20-25miler with mixed summer trails/road (some very steep loose sections) and they were great again. I don’t think you’d be disappointing ☺️

@@TheVeganRunner Thanks Lee. They sound really good overall. I've got on really well with the more basic Asics Gel Excite 7's so keen to find something similar but with more cushioning so these sound like they could be the one, will give them a try in a shop. Thanks for sharing your thoughts
